Why cold? Anyone got a better deal?

This will hopefully get hotter

I have 4 of these and they are very solid boxes, have lasted well over 5 years. Heat from me but for some reason people just like to vote cold but can never leave a reason why or point people in the direction of where they have found it cheaper.

There is no obligation to explain why someone chooses to vote cold, get over it.

Voted hot by the way, these boxes are solid, and seldom on special offer.

Hot hot !!

this plastic box measures: (H)155mm x (W)255mm x (L)395mm and comes with a lid and clip lock handles.
Other boxes at B&Q look a better deal for me

Yes you will have to check different colours as the clear ones are more expensive. It was not clear in store what prices were which.

These are very good quality boxes, I use them to store some valuable video games. It's a shame that the size I use is delivery only, with a fiver delivery on top of the price

None in my area..but ordered a few for home delivery...even with P&P they are still a bargain
Nice Tidy Attic for 2015

Good price, great boxes.

For the really big ones viking direct is great, they sell them in pairs too making them cheaper still

Thought £5 was a bargain for one of these a few months back!

The 18L one is £5 and I just read that it stores around 44 DVDS. Perfect if that's what you're looking for

Not everyone knows how much better these are than other plastic boxes. I used to think these were overpriced until I bought some, now I want more, they are great quality.

Hope this helps Dunhelm Mill selling 3 of these boxes as bundle for £7.99 they include 1 x 18ltr 1 x 9ltr and 1 x 3ltr
not sure of stock they had few at Preston .

Have to agree that Really Useful Boxes are some of the best made boxes, some of the reasons they are better.

Good sturdy construction and the plastic used is impact resistant so it doesn't smash easily if you drop something on one.

The bottom has a lattice reinforcement pattern on it so when you stack them on top of each other the contents don't cause the bottom to bulge very much that would squash the lid (and contents) of the one below.

The corners are reinforced and virtually all the wight from the one above is concentrated on the reinforced corners meaning you can stack them high without the lower boxes getting crushed.

They don't tend to go brittle quickly in the sunlight like some cheap ones.

The variety of sizes mean that you can neatly stack two smaller sizes on top of a single larger box.

As the saying goes you pays your penny and takes your choice. The cheap flimsy boxes in my opinion are a false economy as they tend to get easily broken and need replacing. When you go out to buy a replacement you often find that the same boxes are no longer available, instead being replaced with whatever new cheaper box the retailers are selling that month. So you end up either with a load of odd boxes that don't stack over the years or end up replacing them all so that you can stack them. The really useful boxes have used the same design for years so it is always easy to add an extra or replace one that fits in with the ones you already have.

These are really excellent boxes. I've got a few in different sizes.. Highly recommended.

Bought 5 thanks very much!

any voucher codes to get even cheaper?

i've just joined B&Q Club so have a membership number. it can be entered at checkout but i don't think it gives any discount.

Viking Direct have some offers on really useful boxes. i have a new customer discount code but requires £100 spend. free delivery on orders over £30.

i have 37 of these boxes. 30 are the extra strong ones and 7 are these cheaper but still strong variety.

I'm sure it's the most technologically sophisticated box imaginable but it's tiny and you can get 45 litre boxes at Home Bargains for £3.99 all year round

The 35L ones seem to be out of stock at the moment when I tried to order some, but bought a mix of 9L, 18L and 64L ones instead - the blue ones are the cheapest price for these boxes I've seen anywhere! Thanks

my order status is still stuck at "order processing"..
Estimated delivery: Friday 30th January 2015 by B&Q Delivery Fleet.

when i ordered my email had "Delivering Friday 30th January 2015 with B&Q Delivery Fleet" but when i log into my B&Q account on the order its showing "Delivery estimate: 30/01/2015". order status still "Order Processing". surely i dont have to wait till end of month? they have taken my money off my c/card already.

got delivery of my boxes yesterday. 50 of them on a pallet! 42 18L boxes and 8 9L boxes.
the 9L ones seem to be thinner plastic. i'm using them for storing paperback books at the moment. like i said quite thin plastic and there are stronger boxes elsewhere.
the 18L boxes are great for my purpose. they have clear lids so you can see whats inside! the blue colour is much nicer than i expected. all boxes shiny and new.
thanks OP.
