Was reduced from £4 to £1 last week. Now reduced to 25p! And it's really nice

I do not see the offer online.

If it was 1p a tonne .. I still wouldn't eat this

I'm sure it's OK, but the smell just puts me off.:|

Yummm... medium rare, well hung, rump steak smothered in Stilton cheese. AWESOME!

great deal for 25p...bought some last week for £1 and thought that was a bargain! Not the best stilton ever but an absolute steal at this price! H&R

Love a bit of port & stilton

Is this the one that smells like 3 day old socks?

Mmm the nom. Hopefully some there when I go tomorrow.

love a bit of cheese

can I vacuum seal & freeze this? (never tried) wife walked in witha few blocks today.

It will be as it is leftover Christmas stock. Our two local Sainsburys sold out of this stilton ages ago, unfortunately, so none left to reduce to 25p or even a £1.

yes, stilton freezes very well

I have loads left from the M+S £5 Kg, I made some Deeeeelish Brocolli and stilton soup and some bacon and stilton quiche. Wish we had a saisnburys here!

Sorry, but wouldn't eat mouldy bread and I don't eat mouldy cheese . Yuk Yuk Yuk.

You can do this but in my opinion, it will ruin the cheese.

What you can do instead, is seal it up and store it in a cool place. Before you’re ready to eat it, take the seal off and wrap it loosely in grease proof paper. It will start to lose its oiliness and the taste will improve. It will be at its best when it has hardened a little.

stinky cheese! food of champions

Yeah, but does it thaw OK too?

IME yes it does. On one occasion it came out a little more crumbly than usual but every other time it's been fine (and one year I froze a lot when Sains were doing a similar cheap after Christmas deal on it)

I'm surprised you say that as I've never had a problem like that :?

its absolutely fine to freeze although it does make it more crumbly. if you are making sauces with it or other stuff it's fine,

Tastes best when at room temperature. Leave it on an open plate in your bedroom a few hours for a lovely snack before...
