Hey all,

I decided I NEEDED a Blue Yeti, haha, and all of the other deals for them on here seem to have expired. Amazon were doing the (less attractive?) silver model at £79.99, but now all of theirs are £110+ (varies by colour).

Argos are listing silver at £79.99, but out of stock pretty much everywhere.

So, this deal is for the generally more costly black model, and there's a PC game thrown in, which I guess will have a bit of resale value anyway?

Hope it helps, mine is on it's way!

Aren't you supposed to have a pretend career earning £24.53 a month from 10,000 subs on youtube before having the necessary clearance to peddle the "blue yeti"?

Nah they are quite good for having a pretend career earning £0.00 for a podcast aswell.

It's an impressive feat of marketing for people to equate owning one of these to YouTube success. My eldest is asking for one for xmas for exactly this reason.

Are these really that good, or another Dr Dre Beats moment? Are better quality mics for less money?

there is ZERO recording quality difference between Blue Yeti and BM-800, that you can buy for £10.

If I was to start a youtube channel and make a conscious effort to get something going, then would start with one of these.
Unfortunately starting a youtube channel isn't something that everyone does even though everyone seems to be doing it. Much like special dog food for dogs with 3 legs.

I'd love to start one of right wing politics and smashing the BBC narrative but would likely end up with my house ablaze and stabbed so going to just stick to discussing politics with my dad and anyone that I haven't alienated from talking about politics too much.

...anyway.

I think zero is a bit harsh, but it does look like a good tenners worth admittedly;

The BM-800 requires extra kit for you to get it to work with a PC. Blue Yeti is USB plug and Play.

The bm-800 doesnt require extra kit, i know because i have one optionally you can get a phantom power supply which reduces the static sound in playback

I think anyone who is in the market for something like this won't want static in their recordings. Phantom power on the BM-800 is essential.

Just wondering why the pairing of this with watch dogs?

Usually you see a gadget paired with some you use it with - wheel + driving game, joystick + flight sim. Not sure you can do anything in watch dogs that requires a microphone?

Or from the YouTube comments above, is this just so you have a game to talk over while you stream something?

Seems to be a marketing deal from the blurb, I guess. Heard about these mics before, also saw Audio Technica 2020 highly rated for somewhat more (for the usb version at least). Kind of tempting just to not have to use my ancient webcam for voip.

Even so a BM-800 and phantom power will come to like a quarter of this

I’ve just watched an interesting (but slightly nutty) YouTube video that probably demonstrates why these things cost a bit more than others, but still remain a best seller, I’m definitely now happy that I’ve made a good choice;

OOS now

Unless I'm mistaken this has been on GAME at this price for a long time. I was considering a microphone for Twitch streaming a few months ago and remember seeing it for this price. Decent deal though!

I bought this bundle, opened it. Looked at it. Then returned it, waste of money for me!

What kind of logic is this? Do you do this for everything?

Actually, it's £112 WITH the game at Amazon: amazon.co.uk/Blu…h=1

Obviously this is still the better deal, but your info was wrong.

The Yeti is an amazing mic, I use it for gaming, youtube and even recording music - does all 3 really well, so worth paying that much for it.

If you’re going to genuinely get use out of this then great. If you’re going to buy it, use it twice and want it sitting there gathering dust; then also fine. I just know how to spend my money better, than waste it

Got my Yeti today, and my god, it's enormous! I don't know why but I was expecting it to be half the size, between it's build, size, and of course performance, I'm a very happy bunny.

Bah missed this
