Is this any good? Looking for a radio to stream Bluetooth from my phone (Spotify)
Ive bought one to stick in my old banger. Its cheaper than trying to find an on and off knob for my stereo. From Ebay of course

It's a £12 car stereo, I think it's safe to say it won't be great but if it works at all then it's very good value.
Oddly I've done a lot of research on cheap stereos and I've found it's worth paying a little more and picking up one of the Kidcia ones on Amazon, they're usually around £20 (sometimes below, sometimes above) but they're rated quite well for a cheapo, link here if anyone is interested: amazon.co.uk/gp/…c=1
I have this and for me it’s suits it purpose. The Bluetooth connects well and is functional. For music playback the audio quality is worse that the factory fit radio I removed but Bluetooth function was more important so I take that hit. For £12 I can’t complain.

I had one of these direct from China; it actually works very well, better than my expensive Clarion when it comes to connectivity and reliability; especially the Bluetooth, which connected to everything I threw at it, including older iPhones.

The let down is the case material and build, which is very low grade (think Maplin alu hobby case), and the audio output, which "fades" over time if you try to play it loud. IE, you turn the wick up and it goes loud, but over 5-10 minutes it gets quieter. I dont think the output transistors have enough heat sink to keep cool, so they overheat and thermally throttle themselves.

The audio quality is also not as good as the Clarion, but most of the time you wouldn't notice because of engine and road noise.
Ré 12volt / 24volt comment. Where I bought mine they had 2 versions, 12 volt and 24 volt; assuming gearbeat stock both, make sure you buy the right version.

On mine, the USB port was marked as for charging phones etc; if I tried to use it as such, the unit went wonky and shut down - obviously not suitable for devices that want to draw a lot of current when charging.
It says" Bluetooth Specification:V2.0" does this mean the core version of the Bluetooth? Current version of Bluetooth is 5.0 How can they implement an old legacy technology in 2017 device?

Just putting it out there I did the same as my car's stereo was very limiting and I wanted something that I would possibly need to reuse in my next car if it came down to it. I came to the exact same conclusion - i bought this Kidcia stereo a few months ago and it's hard to find any real faults. Buttons are stiff and when using the control knob, the details on it turn with it which might annoy some. Otherwise I would definitely purchase it again
