Worth a shot as I have an engine light coming on and off and will save some pennies. Cheers.

I actually just bought this last week from eBay - same price and works great on the S3
I already have a genuine vag-com but wanted something wireless as a gadget more than anything...it's a lot more than that. The logging along is worth it not to mention the acceleration graph!

Remember bluetooth will be for android only. iPhones will need the wifi version

I'm not a fanboy, I own a nokia 3310! So keep your knickers on sweetheart. And FYI I would have to agree that my estimation of 90% was slightly exaggerated - 50% is probably more accurate. See how many of your mates own an iPhone its a scarily high percentage.

Sorry if this a noob question, but is this thing powered by the car through the ODB2 port?

Hi Veganway... can you suggest any good software for use on PC ?

I just got mine yesterday and it works good . Took a little time to pair with the tablet at first then fine after that . I purchased Torque Pro for my Android tablet but the device did come with a disk full of software for windows too . Havn't tried on my diesel motor yet , just my petrol Zafira but I dont think it there should be any problems . You have to set up your vechicle profiles at first . Great price for such a handy gadget .

I'll just post here what I posted in the other diagnostic thread, for a bit of extra info on what this can do. (Incase it helps anyone out.)

These kind of diagnostic tools are very basic code readers which will only access the Engine Management part of the vehicle through a generic EOBD (European Onboard Diagnostics) protocol. This means if you are wanting it to reset or diagnose ABS, SRS systems etc then unfortunately you're out of luck.

These kind of code readers are used generally to point you in the right direction of a vehicle fault, and do not do any kind of miracle. If it for example comes up with an O2 Sensor readings out of range, this does not necessarily mean the O2 sensor is faulty but chances are you could have a problem elsewhere causing the sensor to get unusual readings. Just be cautious and be sure you know what is at fault before you start replacing parts.

For compatibility, as a general rule of thumb petrol vehicles from 2001 onwards and diesels from 2004 onwards are EOBD compatible, so this should communicate with them. There are exceptions to this rule however I've come across the odd older Ford etc that is EOBD supported, but this is quite a rare occurance.

EOBD is also the European equivalent of OBD-II, so an OBD-II reader will read EOBD vehicles.

Absolutely BRILLIANT! Had no idea that such affordable versions were available. Thank you, I am sure my throttle position sensor is playing up and this will help me to know for sure.

If u have a bmw and are in the minority with a android phone look for bmwhat app this is a rather good bit of software....

Says shipped from Hong Kong... Not bad if you want to wait over a month!

My one was delivered yesterday, great device, really easy to use but thought it would be smaller.

Word of warning to Astra H owners, with the scanner inserted into the port you can only just get the handbrake off.

Doesn't take a mastermind to find the 'Fulfilled by Amazon' seller in the list (the one at £7.48 as per title).

I ordered one Monday from the same seller and it was delivered yesterday.
