This or a cheapo soundbar for TV?

I don't think this is suitable as a sound bar.

nice one... my one gave up a few months ago...looking for somethingthat can connect to a projector so we can watch movies in garden... any suggestions

Had one of these for years. Use it almost every day in the kitchen. Always connects first time every time to phone and battery lasts for ages. Sound may not be amazing but for the money it has been superb and much better than some much more expensive speakers.

Soundcore 2 is available for £4.10 more. Any suggestion on which one is a relatively better buy.

They are pretty equal, minor positives and negatives for and against both. This one has slightly better battery life though. I'd get this one.

Great speaker for the price, I was buying cheap Bluetooth speakers and was never impressed but they were ok, I wanted it for the garden while sitting in the sun, drinking lots of beeeeererrrrr
I was really impressed with it, I couldn’t believe how much better it sounded for a few quid more than the cheap ones I had. I have upgraded twice now but still think it’s a great starter speaker. My son loves it.

Good price for a decent speaker, good for travelling and if you dont have a home HiFi setup - can take it with you in other rooms

Great product, deep sound and bass. Great manufacturer.

I can’t remember how much I paid but it was less than this because of that anker glitch that gave £10 off everything. Still going strong years later.

I think this is good price so 🔥 (edited)

Just bought the Soundcore 2 (A3105) last week (~ £28) to use while doing DIY in the shed.
Have to say, that while it has good bass the treble is pretty poor.

I guess that makes it "modern", but while lows are probably hard to do when designing a small speaker, the overall sound suffers massively by being so unbalanced. And by unbalanced I don't meant something fixable by equalisers - it simply isn't able to reproduce high notes well. And by high I mean no more than, e.g. what a normal steel acoustic guitar would produce never mind a 12 string.

Still, it does sound better than the phone's speakers!

Any alternatives from different companies out there? I'd never heard of them, but bought one from Tribit a couple of years ago and it's been great. I only seem to see these soundcore ones on here for some reason

They are brilliant quality for the money, that's why you see them on here. I have Anker soundcore buds and a speaker and both were really good build and sound great.

Got this a while back, impressed & am going to buy again! Thx op

Off topic, but can anyone recommend a basic bluetooth Lavalier mic that will work well with this (edited)
    Avatar
Not sure what you want the mic for, but this speaker allows you to have 2 way conversation (i.e. answer the phone) and will pick up "ok google" etc

    Nice one.

I've had the Soundcore 2 for years as a speaker for the shower (the 2 is waterproof, don't think this one is) and it's a great sound for a small and cheap speaker, great battery life still, rock solid Bluetooth connection, I've got absolutely no complaints. The 2 is available for £26.59 (5%off voucher on the page) amzn.eu/d/8…2W6

Heat added. Used a pair of these recently on a very remote camping trip. Solid design, lasted ages.

Have a pair of these and LG battery powered projector for outdoor films in summer work great for stereo sound

Do you use a Bluetooth transmitter in 3.5mm jack, if so do you have any audio lag/sync issues?

Does this better than JBL FLIP? (edited)

I bought one of these years ago and it’s still going strong. It’s loud and holds charge brilliantly!

I looked at the Anker website anker.com/uk and couldn't find this product (or any smartspeaker) - is it discontinued?
    Avatar
They market the speakers under the Soundcore brand on a separate website though this one isn't listed.
