a bad film is still a bad film cheap or not

save your pennies (_;)

Not a bad film and have you actually seen it ?

I didn't think it was anywhere near as bad as the "critics" made out.

Voted hot on price

Same thing happened with Disneys The Lone Ranger. Critics slated it but I really enjoyed it. I tend to ignore miserable critics now and make my own mind up.

Oh and don't forget the 150 Disney Reward Points as well!

DMRs seem to have died a death, they never replied to me when I lost my (admittedly few by then) points about 6 months back and I've not heard much about them since.

I think it was overrated by calling it the new star wars I saw it in 3d at cinemas it wasn't bad but it was completely different to a star wars like franchise well worth a watch

Stuntman9883 that's so funny you wrote that - I came here specifically to write that it's a massively underrated film that should have been the start of a new star wars.

One of the biggest financial losses of all time because of really poor marketing. It is in fact a very entertaining and polished film. Enjoyed it.

Now £9.99

Its on the 2 for 10 at Amazon, if anyone missed it

took my 8 year little brother and even he thought it was ****

Watched The Lone Ranger the other day. Not a bad film.
John Carter, I thought, was an excellent film. Watched it twice and it holds up on repeated viewing. It just suffered from a bloated budget, but the end result is a good film 7.5/10 from me.

and my 10yr old daughter loves Alvin and the Chipmunks, which we all know is ****. Your point is?

Based on a true story!

I really wanted to like this and seeing the trailer looked good.....but after watching I did think it was terrible.

Find a torrent : try it. If you like it : buy it. Sorted.

Thought it was a pretty enjoyable film myself. I would say it didn't deserve to do as poorly as it did, but the lack of marketing coverage and changing it's name to something that is not only boring but that does nothing to even remotely hint what the film is about rightly sealed it's fate as a flop.

It's actually a much better film than I thought it was going to be. Go in expecting it to be rubbish and you are likely to be pleasantly surprised.

Very bad marketing - a much better film than its box office performance would suggest.

Very much enjoyed it.

I thought it was decent too... and it mentions Orkney so heat from me!

Personal preference. Seen it several times and enjoyed it.

Think the princesses outfits may have something to do with it mind .....!!!

Decent movie to watch. I was not aware of the critics nor the "Its a new star wars" then I just watch it without any expectation and thought it was a nice one

Really the criticism of the movie is based on how much it cost to make (lone ranger too) this cost like $350 million plus marketing to make so lost a fortune. Its not a great film by any stretch but i seen a lot worse. Most people that slate it as a terrible film are just following what they have heard on imdb and these things are cool to hate. voted hot for price.

Yep, good movie and certainly better than a lot of the other 'blockbusters' in 2012.

Not really. It cost $250 million to make and made $284million at the global box office (thats about $145 million back to the studio)
US only DVD/Blu Ray sales totaled $32 million (at last tally in 2012), then include in that rentals and broadcasting rights (probably another 50 million or so). That doesn't include world wide sales of DVDs or Blu-Rays!

I came here to defend this film but seems like everyone is in agreement with me 'it aint bad at all'...... future cult hit ....

ok well maybe not

It says £9.99 now.

Worth watching mainly because of the hottie with the black hair

Oh right. But Disney also spent $100 million on advertising.
BBC claim Disney will be out of pocket by nearly $200 million

my point is exactly what you've demonstrated. Which is that kids think things are much better than they are, so if an 8 year old thinks the film was bad, it must be really bad

My daughter doesn't like Star Wars...making your point moot.
