It’ll struggle to run the pre-installed spyware yet alone whatever you want it for.

Looks nice. But would've been good to mention the processor.

The N4100 is an Intel Celeron processor

The OP is a newbie, in every sense of the word ...

New on this site (less than a 4 Month window), and new in Deal Posting's also (this being literally their first Deal Posted and all, lol).

So all in all, the OP may genuinely not be aware of any of the stuff's you're now there talking, or something?. :-D

Perhaps that'd be something you perhaps could brief them up on, at some point, etc etc?. :-)
1.1 ghz... times must be rough

People, You're missing the point of the these ultra-books and why they used these processor specifically.

These are useful as a secondary laptop for simple stuff. They are silent, no cooling needed and has great battery life. Ideal for working while traveling or watching films in bed.

Yes, just watched the video. The screen is surprisingly good and high brightness.
Are you not much better off, spec-wise and Price wise to go with this from Curry's, Pentium Silver, add an m.2 HDD for a few quid and way better off in terms of performance and value? Geo are a good Company. I emailed them (in Warrington) for help with mouse track drivers following latest windows update and they emailed me back within an hour with friendly help and links to the downloads I needed. So you know the support is there if needed, plus the safety net of Curry's / PC World? ebay.co.uk/sch…t=0

The one I have, which I think is the same one as Curry's are listing, as far as I can tell is a flyer with a 240gb ssd and MILES better performance wise than my older Chinese Celeron effort a Jumper 3? SSD over built in eMMC is worlds apart and really does affect overall performance... Fanless, quiet and 8-10 hours of battery, beautiful screens too? But for Office 365, Win 10 and general day to day stuff, it's the best bang for buck out there? Just my own personal experience having tried a few of these little macbook sized ultrabooks...

It's absolutely fine for everyday tasks. Internet, email, Microsoft Office etc. I've got a N3450 which I take out and about when travelling and have even used that to encode h.264, so the N4100 will be fine for most non-gaming folk.

When you wear them instead of typing on them, what do you expect, make Britain great again wearing them?!

6 W typical usage of N4100 CPU versus 16 - 65 Watts CPU and no fan to blow heat away, is a critical point missed by the many.
At 2200 passmark with a single thread of 1000, perfectly good for the many rather than the few.

What's an m.2 HDD?

M2 replaced SATA as the hard drive interface on newer machines. It’s an SSD.

I like these machines but £305 from Gearbest is just too much IMO. These low-wattage chips are fine if you're using them in a £100-200 laptop and know the limits. As a secondary laptop I wouldn't spend this much, and you'll know from other threads I know the value of these. For £100 (and as a secondary laptop) you can buy something like a Dell E7240 ultrabook - and the performance from that is fine for the things you mention and is what I use a lot of the time.

Pentium Silver is the same CPU architecture, so other than name and slightly faster clock basically no difference. Pentium Gold is where it steps up to the Core architecture where it's vastly quicker.

The interesting times will be in the next few years when Intel launches that chip with what's effectively Gemini Lake now + 1 single 'Core' architecture chip for speed.

Sorry but that is wrong. M2 is just an interface. You can have M2 slots that only accept M2 SATA connection drives.
What a weird-looking laptop. Why would you need 5 screens around that hinge?
I have a Teclast F15 which is a very similar spec and it runs Windows 10 and Internet, office tasks just fine. Just don't expect to do any gaming on it apart from some older emulators.
While it's clearly a great screen and rest of the spec, the processor is awful (normally appears on chromebook's and similar low power laptops).

Get anything with a Core i3 and it'll run rings around this. There's little point having the kind of spec on this machine, especially at this price, to be so let down by the CPU.
