Looks like an old model - the current one is silver, comes with SRAM Eagle groupset and Magura brakes - and has a list price of €1,799.00.
They've changed the spec of the Alpenchallenge multiple times (mine's a 2018 model with belt drive and hub gears). It's a decent, fast commuter hybrid for roads and a towpaths - upgrade the tyres if you want to ride on anything rougher (I got rid of the Conti Speeds it came with because they're not great in the wet, now using Panaracer Gravelkings).
Finding a BMC in the UK has been difficult since Evans Cycles went bust (they were the sole distributor but BMC refuse to deal with Sports Direct - very wisely). The only places I know that sell them only sell eBikes), but parts are still available if you speak to a dealer (even if there's not one near you - I had a BMC dealer in Wales offer to get parts for me and send them to Glasgow if necessary).
