Heat for a great saving, but Im waiting for the convertible Dacia to save even more!!

thats why so many on the road these days so cheap

Do you need to enter your details every time you want a price?

3% Quidco too.

usb 3.0?

beem beem bimma

Apparently it's improved from the previous and absolutely atrocious 6 series. Still weighs too much for its own good..

You can buy a bicycle for that much - cold.

Wait, what?

Do these come with working indicators?

None of the others do.

It's a lot of saving.

One big and heavy car this. But I remember the Jaguar XK deals we had on here a while back, I would probably prefer one of those instead. Bit more of a head turner, bit more fun to drive and nicer noise. Slightly less 'I'm trying not to look a bell end really' image you get with convertibles, particularly BMW/VAG ones.

Good deal for a good car like this though.

2 grand more for the 640d SE diesel version but you'd make this back (and maybe more) in the fuel saving over 36k miles and the subsequent resale value.

Yeah, just don't click on it, the options list comes up, omg, I got an X5, but if I'd put half of that crap on it, it would have cost 75% more!

I've seen a lot of these deals through drivethedeal, they all seem too good to be true. Are the prices quoted actually what the average joe pays or do you need to be vat registered or something to get these prices?

Damn, just ordered an i8

Kids Chrimbo presents sorted.

Autoebid are quoting £44328 via their Name your own deal offer. That's 33% off list.

Just goes to show how much they are ripping us off with the original price

I can't help but cringe everytime I see (but mostly hear) a convertible come past with a diesel engine in it. Just seems wrong. So you bought a convertible which is not exactly a practical sensible purchase for the not inconsiderate sum of £45k and yet you went for the diesel engine to save a tiny of money on fuel once you have done like 40k miles to pay for the cost of the more expensive disel engine. Which you probably won't manage to reach before you sell it for something else unless you drive it quite a lot. Okaaaaaaaay.

Surely you can afford some crappy diesel saloon to be a cheapskate in the week and spend the rest on a weekend convertible with a rorty petrol engine in it to enjoy your down time? I dunno. Each to their own.

Ah... the old indicator joke...

Reliably posted every single time a BMW, Audi or Merc deal is posted.

Just because it has a huge saving from a overpriced rrp doesn't make it a deal!

Still way overpriced for what it is

Plus Cold as it's not apple!

So many? Lol I hardly seen any 6 series they are rare to see. If so they are either company cars. there are only 15 M6's in the UK. and since when is 45,000 cheap? thats freaking expensive

Do any HUKD'er actually buy luxury items like this on a whim? I usually buy an SD card on a impulse buy but could never afford anything as luxurious as this.

Thanks, brought 2

I love my 635d...the engine is seriously strong.

Where did you "bring" them from??

Cold for the £15,000 depreciation you'll get in the first year of ownership so not much of saving there.....

Cold. Not Apple

Cold. Will be parked over two spaces at most car parks in the uk. Key at the ready.

Isn't that only important if you intend to sell it after 1 year, otherwise it's a hypothetical number.

You certainly can't buy a 1 year old convertible 640d for 30k, that's VW Golf money!

why would anyone want to pay that much on a car? crazy

I agree that it's head vs heart equation.

Until this year, I had a E92 BMW M3 and I fully appreciate a good engine note.

The diesel torque delivery from the 40d engine, especially in gear acceleration is something else. The BMW diesels don't sound as bad once at operating temp.

I've ordered a 535d from Drive the deal and it's pretty quiet.

That depreciation is reflected in the money saved - places like Whatcar and the like base the depreciation figures on list price.

I don't really have anything against diesels. Indeed, a friend bought a brand new 535D with the M sport pack ten years ago when they first launched, then had it tweaked, remapped and it was a tremendous machine. 350bhp and 450lb/ft torque easily. Hilariously fast for a diesel and still economical. I couldn't see much reason to buy a petrol 5 series since unless it was the M5 because the diesels are unbeatable.

I just can't quite get my head around convertible diesels.

TBH not many cars in this country have working indicators. And if they do work it's not always at the right time. Like all the idiots who think you only have to indicate when exiting a roundabout.
