This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Black Friday discounts available on the Connected Drive store. Click the link to see all discounts. E.g. Online Entertainment is £125.30 down from £179.

£10 a month for 40 million tracks (Deezer premium or Napster) and full integration with your car display isn't bad value.

Real time traffic is down to £34.40 although I find Waze more accurate but maybe it's better on the mainland.

Other services reduced as well.

Hopefully useful to someone.

You do and BMW don't do Android auto either. Black Friday discounts make it just about bearable.
You have to pay for nets behind the rear seats so Carplay would be a given!

I came from a vehicle prior where indicators were free so imagine my surprise when I had to pay for them on the BMW!

Now I appear to be one of the few with them ...but at least I know why
With BMW when it comes to Connected drive and their other add-on digital service nasties, the less you buy, the better off you will be.

Real time traffic is pants, doesn't clear accidents, slow rolled out map updates and navigation which doesn't understand roadblocks or diversions.

Rule of thumb, never buy through BMW, much better and cheaper streaming services can be configured via phone to car.
is there a way we can update our car software cheaper?? I am having 2011 X3 wanted to update that so that i can carplay my iPhone to it.
I have a lease 4 series arriving in January. Can I use this to add CarPlay without paying the extortionate usual fee?
So you have to pay for Apple Car Play which is free with pretty much all other manufacturers, You can't use Android and if you have a Deezer premium account without an Apple device you have to pay BMW £10 a month for it? On what planet is this a good deal? Why does it not work with Android? Is this just plain snobbery or what is the reason for it?

Not kidding!

That's pants and so is TP traffic alerts via the radio. It usually warns me to avoid roads I'm nowhere near or likely to use or just doesn't pipe up at all.

Best option is either satnav app or actual standalone satnav.

I've got about another year left of the digital service and I'm certainly not going to pay to renew!
I find the satnav and traffic info are generally good but ETAs are often on the optimistic side. It often thinks you can get through single lane A & B roads much quicker than in reality. Compared to Google Maps it not as good but on the other it's a waste of a pro media system to then stick you phone on the dashboard. Using the idrive is far easier and safer on the move than trying to prod your phone screen.

My traffic updates ran out last week (maps went a couple of months back) so will get the package with the usb map update.

Doubt it, you have the register with your chassis no. Buying it new is probably the best opportunity to get some of these bundled in (or discounted) but I guess it depends on who you lease it from.

They do seem to do a black Friday deal every year so I guess you could hold on.

Thanks, just ordered the CarPlay for my m4. No way was I paying £300 for it but I can just about swallow £118. Massive saving albeit something that should be for free anyway

Curious as to why you bother to post on a BMW deal when you clearly don't have one. Never the less the deal is 30% off subscription services which is great. Yes they are a rip off.
For reference they £10 a month includes Deezer premium or Napster .

Yes - sadly confirmed can’t order without VIN, and on a two year lease wouldn’t be worth waiting until next year. I’ll have to do without annoyingly.
Just found this myself, was about to post. Ordered the Apple play for my car. I have found the RTTI to be quite good, it picks up traffic information and displays it in the dash. It showed a broken down vehicle on the M5, showing a danger sign and blocked lane before the motorway signs! Really happy with mine.
Tried online to extend my maps package which expires on 30/12/2019 as this deal offers a decent saving. Despite the website saying you can extend within 3 months of the expiration date the computer said no. I phoned BMW for help only to be told it is a website error and you have to wait until the service expires before you can extend it. Needless to say the Black Friday deal will probably have long since expired by then. You can’t even choose to waste the remaining month of the existing deal to buy an annual subscription from now.

BMW deals never do well even if it is 30% off. Baffles me why non BMW drivers vote 30% cold. Same thing happened last year. Absolutely no way I would buy any of the services at full price but the music is brilliant so I'm happy to pay £120 for the year.

Sorry, I wasn't necessarily talking about your deal and I didn't vote it cold. More my bewilderment as to why you can use your own music service with any other manufacturer (that I'm aware of), but BMW insist you either use an Iphone, or you pay £10 a month just to use the service in the car. It means that some folk may well end up paying double their subscription service or be forced to get an Iphone. It's a scandalous rip off. Why are they so hard for Apple anyway? Nothing personal with your deal. Money off is always a good thing.

I don't know why they are so apple biased. It's very irritating. I was using my android phone and Spotify but it's just all a bit fiddly. At least with this you get full Deezer on your phone and also the car screen. It's actually a great system. Overall BMW are far too greedy with things like this.

That's Deezer on the screen.

It looks nice, but there's no reason why they can't allow it to work with your existing Deezer account and non Iphone mobile, other than trying to fleece you of course :-)

It's independent of the phone. I'm android. I guess it's like the car system is it's own phone. You would need to cancel your current subscription and take out the new one (I think) you can then put that new one on your phone and iPad /computer etc.

Spotify does work through an android phone, though like you sat it does seem buggy and doesn't always seem to connect correctly. I only have the free version so I don't know if premium is any better. It is disappointing that they've not really bothered to improve the iDrive system through FW updates (even though they heavily advertise the update feature). I've had 1 update in 2.5 years and it was very minor. You would expect with the number of F3x cars sold they would be able to support them better.

As with all of these things, they keep the best improvements for their newest cars but cars are supposed to last longer than phones (even if some people treat them that way)!

Android Auto sounds good hopefully they will have it by the time I come to replace mine (which will be a fair few years).

Also just realised the discount doesn't apply to the connected packages which is a bit strange. Does anyone have an alternative source for map updates?
The connected plus package is still £99, does that include the black Friday off?
F32 2013 pro media.
I have an 18 plate, using an S10 with premium Spotify. Like you say it is very hit and miss if it connects, sometimes I have to delete and pair my phone again, which 99% of the time I have already started my journey. Sound quality is also not on par with the radio, bluetooth/Spotify is alot lower, therefore you nearly have the car just under max volume and the phone on max volume.

Updated to the latest software and still the same pretty much. Not something you'd expect from a premium brand.

Totally agree. The best option is to go with their service/Deezer. It seems crazy to me that they can't get something right that you can do in a ford fiesta.
