This is a £38k car OTR with nearly £10k deposit contribution from BMW and the dealer, Bowkers. £379 customer deposit and £379 per month over 48 months. Yes it's 8k miles per annum but the excess mileage charge is only 8p per mile so don't fret about going over and enjoy the car. 340 BHP! 4.9% APR which is reasonable for a BMW dealer

My dad used to drive a lot of BMWs and drove them all like a complete moron. However, he did the same when he had a Volvo, a Renault and a Ford so I'm starting to think the BMW probably wasn't the issue.

This is expensive and ice cold - going through a broker will save you nearly £3k on a 4 year deal:

Vaguely recall an earlier deal for an M140i Shadow for about 28k cash payment.

I don’t drive my Girlfriends bmw 1series wild but when I’m in my Golf R I leather it about everywhere so VW drivers must be idiots also. Think you will find its all about the power and if someone had a ford Ka with a 2.0 tsi engine in it also the most likely you would see one of those flying by you. The most dangerous drivers on the road are those idiots pulling onto motorway or into fast lane at 30-40mph
I own this car and it really is a lot of fun.

But that is not a good deal at all.

Give it a few months when the new shape is out and it will go down again as well

That is a lease. The deal is for PCP.

This is a very cheap price for a 5dr now that BMW is off DriveTheDeal. Carfile.net is £33406 for the same car.

EDIT.....Misread carfile. Take another £4k off the cash price carfile.net/buy…tml

So it is £29406.80 from carfile.net. Just take out the finance and even if you don't want it just have it and pay it off in first 14 days.

Not many people have £30k in their back pocket to do such

So take out and keep the finance then. No different to this deal apart from being cheaper, you can still have the finance or pay off the finance. The key is to take out the finance regardless to get the £4k contribution.

You are agreeing mileage, lease duration, deposit and monthlies. There is a balloon payment at the end if u wish to buy(same with most pch now). Unless you have a fixed purchase requirement at the end of term its the same (except more expensive).

All of which are irrelevant if you want to keep the car at the end. Not irrelevant with a lease as you HAVE to hand it back.

You need to redo your Maths, £29,406 is the starting price BEFORE any interest charges over 4 years at 4.9%, so my deal is STILL cheaper

Anytime.

Although you have a S5 on lease so I guess you're ignorant to saving money on stuff as long as you look good. Are you paying £65 a month for an iPhone XS too? Gotta be instacool somehow.

Nonsense.

I have an M240i, only do 8k miles a year and have a heavy right foot but I’ve still managed 28mpg average over 2.5 years. My old Fcous ST did 18mpg average.

On a spirited drive it generally does about 22mpg but on a long run it will easily achieve 40mpg.

Amazing for a car with this much power and drivability! Especially when road tax is only £180 ish a year as well. Best car I’ve owned.
muffboy26/03/2019 18:27

Missed your comment in amidst of all the lease trolling - You are correct to the tune of £1451.76 I wonder if Bowkers are the old DtD supplying dealer to be able to chuck it out this cheap?

On a different note, Its very hard to spec this up and keep it under the £40k VED threshold! £40k is far too low a number nowadays for the VED rate, bonkers.

Must just be my driving then .
TBF I did have a stroke when I was born and it affects my right foot. Can I use that as an excuse??
