30% off a BMW - If you're in the market for the best hairdressers car on the market and have no need for indicators and have no consideration for other road users now's your chance to "save" some money. (Thought I'd get the stereotypes out of the way)

This is the 340hp range topper.

You can of course use you savings to spec up some extras

Heat for the description alone....

Wow! Not my style, but I bet that's one hell of a fun drive. 30% off, there must be a new model due surely? Who cares though, with over half of the 3 year depreciation taken care of before you've even bought it. Scorching! OP you've forgot a few comments like "my Dacia Sandero will only lose £6k in 3 years", "buying a car for enjoyment is such a waste of money, you should buy a 14 year old 1.2 Fiat Punto" etc.

Over-engineered, over-priced and made by the Hun. Uber kalt...

I find the above reassuring qualities when driving my 3 series convertible.

Production switched to Germany in 2009 - So it's a Hun car built by Huns in Hunland.

Indicators are very important on a BMW, it is necessary for them all to be working, as by flashing them all together qualifies a BMW to park anywhere they like, including double-yellows without fear of getting a parking fine.

Even though it's jolly good fun baiting thick BMW drivers, let's not forget that the gargantuan amount of tax they pay via purchase taxes, petrol duties (guessing this thing does about 20 mpg in reality) and road tax is probably paying for the NHS in it's entirety. Oh and maybe we shouldn't be beastly to The Hun anymore (although they did start two world wars, etc)

BMW are just far to common.

For anyone seriously looking at this just be aware of the very long bonnet as it's very difficult to see anything at certain junctions without sticking your front end out in the road

This will be an interesting read for those awaiting delivery.

I'd like to hear what s*** the peeps who are bashing bmw's drive..

Joe has posted nearly thirty deals. You, a member for six years, none...
You can be an arrogant ass when you've done as much for this community as him.

Call me psychic, but you sound a lot like a stereotypical BMW driver yourself, but it would be rude of me to suggest this was true

You are assuming people bash BMW drivers out of jealousy, when really the sad truth is that such an attitude comes from daily experience of such people. They may even be a minority, but the stereotype wasn't born out of nothing.
Oh and 4x4 drivers, they aren't well regarded either.

I've never fallen in love with the Z4. The Porsche Boxster on the other hand...

good price op... great engine but very very thirsty... exhaust makes a lovely pop when you change gear..can open and close roof upto 25 mph.. downside is extras are expensive and you def need parking sensors on the z4 as you have no idea where the front is and the boot is tiny.

Couldn't you just get an MX5? Much cheaper way of getting over it.

Picked up one of these last year - It certainly does put a smile on ones face. I too had concerns about the long front but since owning it you adjust very quickly - It's second nature now. Only thing I will say is the fuel economy on short speedy runs can hover around the 15-20mpg mark - Trouble is its just too tempting to put your foot down and hear that wonderful sound. That being said - If your doing a motorway run it does behave itself and can achieve up to 40mpg.

So funny to read the description and comments...and for the people whose sole defence of BMW seems to be to insult other people in the thread, you're not doing yourselves - or the stereotype - any favours!!

In all seriousness, I do seem to notice fewer issues than there used to be with BMWs on the road...but when they're bad, they're awful. The worst seem to be Audi drivers at the moment, such as the one recently who tried to wipe out both myself and a BMW on a mini roundabout by hurtling over too fast, without looking and without considering that he did not have right of way. At the other end of the scale, the car I truly hate to see ahead of me on the road is a Prius, as I've encountered only one or two out of many that have been driven sensibly, the others tend to either cut me up, fail to use indicators, or think that a hedgehog travels at about the right speed and that they should do the same. The car in front is a Toyota...yes, because the Toyota is the one at the front of the line holding everyone up!! (cue a flaming from Toyota drivers...well, I have to upset everyone don't I, it's only fair )

Please, BMW drivers - have a sense of humour about the stereotype, it's your best defence! Spoken as someone who used to have a job as a delivery driver (white van), people have the negative perception due to experience as well as hearsay. Aggression, insults and foul language only serve to reinforce the stereotype, which has after all developed from people noticing that drivers of a certain brand tend to drive in a certain way.

As for the car, I really don't like the look of it personally, same with many (though NOT all) BMWs...however for those who do, I'm sure this is a good deal. I have my own preferences...one of which is sat in the garage outside...truly wish THAT was mine!

Oh, and just to add...the name-calling works (or doesn't) both ways...simply calling all BMW drivers 'thickos' is not only a very unimaginative insult, but is also engaging in exactly what the poster themself was complaining about...puerile name calling! Is it necessary?

And then at the root of all evil, there are the drivers of BMW 4x4s!! :O Mind you, I'd often say the same about the Porsche Cayenne...most embarrassing when the driver of one stopped to help me remove a wheel that was seriously seized (he couldn't shift it either). Of all the cars that could have stopped, it was a nemesis!!

Oops, my attempt to quote horsey didn't work...fail. Dammit, even my attempts at stirring go awry!!

And then you have people like MojoUK...disappointingly serious and sensible, that's no fun. Has no-one told you that, as the driver of a BMW, you should not be posting normal, rational comments in a thread like this...it should be name-calling and aggression, or nothing. Nobody wants to hear from a non-stereotypical BMW driver - especially not one who mentions getting 40mpg from their car...that is just wrong, a selfish attempt to demolish a proud, long-standing stereotype, and I hope you are deeply ashamed of yourself!!

Never understood car driver stereotypes. Come across asses that drive terribly in every kind of car / van / bus / lorry and as such I can see why it comes across as jealously when it's directed towards more expensive vehicles.

Rather than having a go at drivers of a particular vehicle take note of who is actually causing issues next time you're on the road.

I drive how I do, having had various models of Citroen, BMW , Mazda, Ford and Volvo if I was going to drive like a cock I'd have done it the same in any one of them - the same if I was going to drive sensibly.

There does however seem to be a higher proportion of issues with certain cars...don't know why, and of course there are idiots in any type of car, but it's about the numbers. And 'jealousy' doesn't explain the very specific brand stereotypes...there are plenty of other expensive cars that don't have that negative association. It may be that the 'idiots' gravitate towards BMW, Audi etc. for a particular reason, and as such create the stereotype that plagues even the normal, sensible drivers of such cars as it creates a negative view of all.

And I do note who causes issues when on the road...hence the comment about there seeming to be fewer stereotypical people driving BMWs than there used to be, as I have noticed a difference on the road. Never know, maybe one day the stereotype will be left behind altogether and a new opinion formed...just look at Skoda!

My SLK diesel averages 47!mpg and will hit 60 mph in 6 seconds and achieve 150 if I so wished ! Both are fun summer cars though, heat added for price
