    Looks style over substance. A basic wok with a handle is much easier to use and you can pick them up dirt cheap from a Chinese grocer/supermarket, mine must be three decades old now.33535874-fdeIb.jpg

    A wok should be light and thin, quick to heat up and quick to cool. Cast iron is the worst possible substance to stir fry in.

    Do the Chinese supermarket woks work with induction hobs? Wondering if they would be too thin to register properly with the hob.

    Maybe this Bodum Wok is better suited to being a good casserole pot?

    Q: Is the internal part unglazed? I do not want a finish on the inside.


    A: The inside is unglazed. But the manual says not use hard utensils as it is some special mix of iron. I coated the inside of mine with oil and baked it for 1 hour in the oven to season it. It got a proper coating and i cant see the original surface any more.

    A: No, not glazed, and I find it heats very evenly,very good really
