Was tempted to buy it. You got me thinking :/

Don’t buy Bodum. I have this one at home: Café Ole Everyday Round Tea Pot Infuser Basket Glass Teapot Loose Leaf, Black, 1250 ml/1.25 Litre amazon.co.uk/dp/…HMM
Perfect
I had similar situation... I have bought Bodum French press for 15 pounds and later realised that Ikea has the same product (larger) half price

Does this take tea leaves, as my mother in law uses tea leaves, and it would be a great present for her!

You could have clicked the link and found the answer faster than asking the question.

  • One of the best ways to brew tea – perfect for loose-leaf tea or tea bags
  • Capacity: 1L
  • Dishwasher safe
The link was posted after I asked the question, but thanks for that.
The get deal link which was there from the start.

One litre capacity? Bargain!

I’ve seen fancier loose leaf tea pots, but most barely do two mugs worth.

Occasional ‘tea pigs’ tea deals posted here are excellent. My fave is liquorice and peppermint
Is the tea holder bit in the centre glass or plastic?

Checked it an hour ago at Lidl: plastic, not worth the money.
Non branded on Amazon are much better.
Do you really want to brew your tea in 100C and in plastic?

Good deal regardless. Head added
Personally I wouldn't touch it, plastic strainer. It will leach toxins into your tea. Stainless steel a much better option

Thanks dpm1. Had a look on amazon and reviews. Seems a bit hit and miss. Glad your experience was good.

Boots sell tea pigs now and are often selling them off when out of date worth a look if you are passing nearby. Near the sarnies and health foods.
I got an all glass and stainless steel one from Tesco for £9.99. It has been used daily for 6 months and is great.

Plastic. We have this and it can be a bit fiddly. One of them when if you pour a cuppa it can drip

With the one I had a few years ago it was plastic and deteriorated to the point of braking. I’m guessing it is still plastic. I now have a Bodum glass jug in my kitchen cupboard which seldom gets used
I once had a teapot made of glass, dropped it. I recall it as BODUM
