Great deal on this Bodum French Press Travel Coffee Mug. These normally retail in Amazon for £22-24, occasionally about £17, but this is really cheap at £10.99.

Good reviews, I've owned the plastic version and looking forward to getting my hands on this stainless steel one which should keep Coffee warm for more than 2 hours.

Awesome thanks! Got my other half the plastic one for Christmas and was looking for the SS one

These are loads better than the plastic ones. great price

Just ordered, thanks for posting.

shame I've not got prime

Are these leak proof?

Thanks got one coming friday

This looks brilliant. A new gadget I never knew I needed

Probably not important but I got the impression from looking for one of these as a Christmas present that the plastic ones come with a spare (drinking) lid but the stainless steel ones don't.

The lady in the video clip on Amazon says that it comes with an extra lid, though I couldn't make out if it was a drinking one. (I couldn't turn the volume up at 5am to find out. )
Actually, on reading the Q & A section on the Amazon product page most of the responses state that it doesn;t come with a spare lid & under 'Product Description' > 'Box Contains' it just mentions '1 x Travel Press'.

No. I had two and both have leaked at some point. when your drink is initially made they won't leak at all as the top expands due to heat but as it starts to cool they can start leaking a little (obviously if kept upright they are fine )

Although it doesn't have the press built in, these ones are leak proof and keep coffee hot. amazon.co.uk/gp/…1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1483598446&sr=8-2π=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=contigo%2Btravel%2Bmug&dpPl=1&dpID=31nidt1VhbL&ref=plSrch&th=1&psc=1

The non press stainless steel ones are £10.99 at Currys with free delivery

These leak like hell. They're fine for use in the office, but no good if you want to carry it in a bag.

I been using a Lifeventure mug for over 6 years and it's still completely leak proof. Recently, I bought a pair of the Contigo (AKA Avex) mugs that Rincage links above, the also work really well. They're a bit more bulky and fiddly to wash than the Lifeventure mugs, but it's nice to be able to drink without removing a lid or stopper whilst I walk to the train in the morning.

Many thanks OP. Ordered.

Had the black one, comes with a spare lid. The cover with the press is definitely not leak proof due to the hole in the middle for the plunger. It has to be kept upright. But it still keeps the coffee hot. This is good if you don't have coffee machine at work because you can brew your coffee (as long as you bring your own ground coffee).

Zojirushi ones are very good too. Never leak, can drink directly from it and drink is kept hot all day. Amazon sell them.

bought one

not the same thing at all. deal is for a french press thermal mug, you've just linked a thermal mug...

Had one of these years ago, they are absolute rubbish, after 2-3 uses the top of the mug distorts and you cant tighten the lid, it just jumps the thread..useless

Yes, I saw the video and read the comments too. I mistakenly bought a plastic one with lid as a present (not realising my mistake until it arrived and too late to do anything) but wanted to buy a stainless steel one for myself. Having gone round in circles trying to find a stainless steel one with a spare drinking lid, I have told myself that I don't ******* need one!

thanks!

Can you cancel the free prime membership any time?

Thanks, been thinking about one of these for a while to use at work.

You can cancel it immediately - it'll remain active until your 30 day trial is over and then end with no charges.

does the coffee not still keep 'brewing' though?
I know you are pushing the grounds to the bottom of the cup, but i'd imagine it still over extracts after a while, leaving a bitter taste?

Maybe not though due to the good reviews!

A fair point, the Bodum comes with two lids, one with the plunger and one without; both of them leak. This is sold as a 'Travel Mug' and I thought people should be made aware that, in my experience, it's not fit for purpose.

Currently out of stock but can order at this price and will be granted when stock is back. I'm patiently waiting for the black one to come down in price...just don't like red. I've got the black one without the press and it's great. I've got no idea why people are making a coffee and sticking it in their bag...they have flasks for that carry on. Anyone that wants a good cup for their commute, I'd recommend. Coffee stays nice and hot (longer if you preheat the mug) and a rubber grip on the bottom so it doesn't slide on pesky train tables etc.

I see the same model, but with an extra lid, is in stock for £1.57 more

Isn't that the plastic version?
The one in the op is stainless steel.

Quite right, I should have made that clear in my post. I was thinking that someone might want the same function but with the line and without the 8 week wait.
