Great price but the flip up lid starts leaking and not sealing the top, also the thread also wears quick on the lid, hence poor retention in use
Good little mug, not leak proof obviously - only one I’ve ever going to be was Brugo but pay a lot more for one of them
Whats this about wear had one 5 years and its like new 😳 it supposed to be a mug that keeps your drink warm, spillage proof as long as you keep it semi upright its not a flask or water bottle heat because its utter quality 🏻

I’ve been using mine for years, really good heat retention considering it’s not a flask, and while not 100% spill proof, it’s a hell of a lot better than a mug! Main issues come if you borderline overfill it (always stay below the first ridge to be sure) as it then seems to magically migrate up the thread and goes everywhere
Not being funny like guys but have you maybe bought a fake one ? as mine has an industrial looking silicon seal at top of threads and never leaks out there, The lid lets out a few drips if i hold it upside down but i think that due to one of my kids biting it

Good mugs, but the plastic clip goes brittle over time and snaps. Bodum support will tell you go f44k yourself as an added bonus.
Will order one of these, thanks.

Had a plastic bodied one which cracked and lost its properties so this stainless one should be more robust and good for a long journey.

I also bought a Zojirusi one which is fantastic, but too fantastic. I can make a coffee before leaving home at 04:30 and it's still too hot to drink from mid-afternoon.
Gone up to £11.88 now.
Really good spot. I've had 2 of these using one for work solidly for the last 2 years as a cafetiere and it's been fantastic and hasn't deteriorated at all.

Don't get the plastic one though s that was cracking within 18 months.
Cheers. My wife and I can stop fighting over who gets the metal cup

Agreed. It's a stylish and practical travel mug, but don't think about putting it in a bag etc. The lid flips open very easily and pours coffee everywhere...

You're lucky to have a wife who enjoys playing cricket

Which is a shame, as it's not a bad flask, it's just got a couple of major, cheaply tooled aspects on it, that could have been applied logically in a much better way!!

For what is worth, Bodmin are fully aware of the flaws, the screw top lid thread, eg: plastic into metal wearing and becoming loose & the very poorly made flip to clip down or up, to access the drink, they, as many have stated not done anything to resolve the issues!!

It works, it's super cheap in this deal (still £14-19 elsewhere!) and does its job, just not as well as it could!
It's definitely shame as you say because the core functionality (the thermal property) is great.
Now showing at £12.90 using the link
Still showing £7 for me.
A Mod needs to un-expire...I just bought for £7 also

Great mug, been using mine for 7 years and it’s still going strong. Might get another at this price. Wouldn’t mind a change of colour .
