LOOOOL find invite burglars looking for a challenge

Looks like spring clamps to me and not spin locks as per title. Have been looking for a couple of weeks for a decent set like this, from what Ive seen 100kg sets can be had for similar money but not 'rubberised' which may make a difference to some for noise reduction etc. Heat added.

Bought this set a few months ago. Pretty good although wish the 15kg weights were bigger in diameter for deadlifts. Not a problem now as also ordered 2x20kg as needed extra weight

sorry my error, i just copied and pasted. all olympic bars i believe only come with spring lock.

From another thread, actually it seems you can get Olympic bars with spinlocks - someone had a youtube video of someone using them, but yes, very rare.

Doubt you'll get a 100kg Olympic set for much less than this new.

I do need some more weights, but haven't really got that much cash to chuck at them right now.

Anyone know what the bar is like?
I've got a decent Olympic bar, but a little bent. It hasn't caused me problems, but it'd be nice to have one in good nick, even if not as good quality.

powerhousefitness has the correct description, they left it out of the description accidently on the Tesco site.

I bought the 145kg set (factory seconds) with a EZ Curl Bar, 2 sets of spring collars and 2 sets of 40kg delux adjustable dumbbells. Ordered over the phone and got a 10% discount, also an extra set of dumbbell bars thrown in for free.

the small plates were fine, not a mark. Larger ones had a few marks on the inside of the plates and missing a few of the red circular weight size sticky labels. weight size it also indented on the black rubber in big numbers so red labels aren't really missed

weights are great, later bought the CF415 squat rack with spotters to go with it, also form powerhousefitness

I have it, weights 20kg, and had it on the squat rack holding 120kg and didn't bend

Interesting.

Out of interest, do you know what it's rated for (I'd hope for a hell of a lot more than 120kg!)
Also, I presume the ends don't rotate like a normal Olympic bar?

Should do, it is an olympic bar after all.

This doesn't have spinlocks guys, it comes with spring collars.

@oddballjamie, maybe some curtains you need? Assclown.

Oh, my bad - I got confused. I forgot I'd asked about this bar as well, as it was hidden in the lower bit of the quote. Cheers.
Thus thought it was the spinlock olympic bar being discussed.

Oh and I'd still hope the bar was rated for a good bit more.

Normally the low end bars are around 350kg, with the upper end a LOT higher.
Someday it might be nice to get my deadlift near that lower number, but that's over twice my current 1rm (I don't have any particular plans to enter power lifting competitions etc ).

Reported for illegal drug use.

Good deal but I don't need them. My gym had a free weights area so I took them all.

This should be ideal for Lee Parsons to do his bicep curls.

You mean for his warm up set?

Can I bring this home on the bus ?

I took a circa 40kg set home on the bus and that was a bit irksome.

If this is just adding to an existing decent Olympic set you use, you should be fine ... just stick it on your back in the squat position!

(Yes, I know it wasn't a serious question.)
