As much as this hurts me to say, one of the lads I work with has never seen it before
Ooh Great. I picked up the House Collection and Ring Collection last time.

I've never seen it either and im over 50. Just looked rubbish.
Think I'm gonna go for Thief, To Live & Die in LA, Demons 1&2, Hills have Eyes & Texas Chainsaw 2.

Shame it is Zavvi.
If you purchase the boxsets of House & Ringu, it works out as an absolute bargain.
Damn weird science not in the deal
Last time Zavvi had it Arrow themselves and HMV in-store had it as well so those searching for (don't know why..) Weird Science might want to try there.
Can anyone recommend any particular titles?
No weird science or sixteen candles. Waste of time

Weird Science & Sixteen Candles were never gonna be in this offer because they’re quite recent releases.
Both films are pretty problematic in retrospect, too.
Ah, naive nostalgia.
My experience with Zavvi on their last Arrow BOGOF:

In their last Arrow Sale I ordered 4 BDs. It was a BOGOF offer. I failed to notice the small print: "the cheapest item will be discounted immediately". In my order I had 2 priced at £45 each and 2 at £15 each. Being a BOGOF promotion I assumed I would be charged £60 (£45 + £15). I did a multiple order to save on the postage which was only £0.99.

When I paid by credit card I didn't notice that the order total was £90 and not £60 as expected. Precisely 7 minutes later I checked my order confirmation email and it said £90. What these winkers had done was charged me for the two highest priced items (as in the small print)!!!

I immediately fired off an email asking to cancel the order.

Having heard bad things on here about Zavvi being con artists I decided to do an online chat with their customer service as soon as it started at 8.00 am the next morning. I simply did not trust them. I was informed that I couldn't cancel the order because it had already gone to the warehouse for processing!!! This was 8.00 am on a Sunday morning!!! I asked did their staff work from midnight Saturday night until 8.00 am on Sunday. No answer. I was told that if I returned the 2 more expensive items it would all be sorted but I would have to pay the £9 postage myself!!! I was given a returns number had to send it "signed for" because Zavvi have small print saying:

Despite the Zavvi rep saying my order was being processed at 8.00 am on Sunday morning I didn't get a dispatch email until Monday evening at 7.00 pm!!! So, surprise, surprise they had lied to me. I was sodding fuming but worse was to come!!!

On the Monday which was the next working day I paid £9 (signed for) for sending the two more expensive box sets back as the customer service agent told me to do.

Fast forward to Thursday and I received an email from Zavvi saying my items had been returned and refund processed. The refund was for £30 and not £45!!! They had refunded me for the 2 cheaper items that I hadn't returned!!! I immediately started an online chat with a different customer assistant. She said I should have been told to return the WHOLE ORDER to get a refund!!! I said that was stupid because I wanted to keep the 2 cheaper items. I asked her to refund me a further £30 so I would then only be paying for the items I now possessed. No, she couldn't do that. I had to return the two BDs to get my £90 refunded!!! I said that I wasn't told this on the Sunday and I was now facing another £5 to return the items. She did take pity on me and created a free returns label. About 3 days later I was refunded another £45!!! So, I was £0.99 + the £9 it cost me to send the first 2 box sets back. A tenner down the tubes!

What a crooked way to run a business! I think their customer reps are told to tell customers who contact them to cancel that their order was already on its way.

They are totally and utterly crooks.

If people knock Amazon they ought to try Zavvi. Amazon are brilliant if you need to cancel an order created by mistake. You can do it all online. With Zavvi you have to email them which they will then ignore. Bent tossers.

Caveat emptor.
