As the title says Buy 3 pack gu10 (240V, 50 watt) get one three pack free! A Rated.
Just be careful though as there are two versions = 1,000 hour and 2,000 hour.
The 2,000 hour ones are obviously the one's to go for.
These are dimmable.
The 1,000 hour ones are £4.99 for three at argos OR 5 pack for £9.85 @ screwfix for 2,000 hour ones.

Also they had some which were rated at 12V for 3x @£3.99 B.O.G.O.F (also by Philips sorry don't remember the wattage or pin type only remember they were the same shape bulb as the GU10, possibly mr16's?)
They were on the next shelf down.

Plus they blow all time.... 1 a month blows in our house... :x

Sometimes it's so handy getting these things at cost
Sounds like a pretty good deal though, and can see how it'd be handy to others.

are they "PHILIPS" brand? or "Blow up every minute" brand? :whistling:

Having used both 'proper' Philips brand ones as well as the Poundland ones, I found that there is no difference in lifespan of the bulbs... if anything the Poundland ones seem to last slightly longer.
That said, I've now mostly gone over to the 7W CFL energy saving GU10 bulbs that Tesco are doing for £2.50 each.

^^^
This the type of bulb you're talking about?
Not very "flush" fitting don't think this will look very good under my canopy. Also using a dimmer i don't think these are dimmable.
BTW 25W equivalent output is a little low for me.

used both brands and there is no difference so I'll stick with the 50p ones.

B & Q were doing the LED versions of these a few weeks ago

Agreed, they're not ideal. Depends on your light fitting as to whether the extra length matters of not. The Tesco (GE) ones aren't dimmable, no, but there are more expensive ones that are (depending one the type of dimmer switch you have).
BTW the 7W ones are meant to be 35W equivalent. The 11W Megaman ones are 50W equivalent.
