Calling a nation obese is pretty rich coming from someone who posts deals on Dairylea Dunkers and Irn Bru X)

Horrible it's full with sodium and 10 percent meat from god knows where.

This offer has been on for a while but thanks anyway

Don't feed the beast!!!

Really? you enjoy pastry cooked in fat and reconstitued meat paste in a sausage roll?

My local baker sells a real sausage roll for about 70p or £1.50 with any non cream cake and a can of drink and the quality is far superior, I have in the last 8-10 years only been to Greggs around twice to buy something(when they were Birketts they were cheap and good) and about 5 times with freebies.

How much is the price for one sausage roll...:|

@ ryouga - totally agree...¿

cold not halal

Never understood the success of Greggs - all their food is cheap and nasty - I guess the cheap bit attracts the punters.

Neostar

cold not halal

Pork and Halal dont really go together.

To much salt for me but my son will be happy

Om nom nom nom :-)

Why is it, that whenever a Greggs deal pops up, we have the food police on here, telling people what they can and can't eat. Everyone has different tastes, and if people want to eat reconstituted meat, thats up to them. Live and let live. Hot deal BTW

They are always 2 for a pound at my local Greggs anyway, is that not the case nation wide? This would save me about 30p. Still a good deal though if your Greggs is more expensive than mine! Hot! (unlike several of the sausage rolls I have had from there recently.

I blame southerners not appreciating good honest greasy food.

Heat for the detailed instructions alone.

They don't look very inviting in that picture so it is a pass from me.

They're always 2 for 99p up here (Preston).. is it different elsewhere? And i literally mean always

Not had one in a while. Highly seasoned, in a peculiar sort of way. Tend to think there is a lot of mono-sodium glutamate (msg - a flavour enhancer) in there.

Maybe a good point to remind folks of Gary's big question. "Greggs, or the Army - who deserves more pay."

Hardly the food police when I would eat sausage rolls lol, its just I dislike Greggs food in comparison to cheaper and better quality products.

If anything it seems you dont like anyone attacking Greggs as you like it so much which if you think my comment was being the food police then you too are acting as food police by defending them.

I have nothing against Greggs just I can get better quality cheaper, I think Greggs is overpriced for what it is, tons of fat and reconstitued meat, I have friends who go there sometimes as its near uni but each one says the next day they have stomach pain/

When I mention about the fat I am talking about how high it was ranked in unhealthy foods, it was worse than McDonalds I believe and just as bad as Subway which I eat.

They taste pretty good. That's probably why they're full of stuff that's bad for you

What **** is this? Whenever I walk past my local Greggs its full of all sorts - school kids, OAPs, Mothers with push chairs, even suited and booted buying cups of coffee (Cheaper than Costa).

You probably just live in a chavvy place mate.

haha, i can't remember the last time i bought anything from greggs, i eat a low carb low fat diet, but i wouldn't dream of telling anyone else how to eat. like i say, live and let live.

i like greggs pasties and cakes, if you dont like there products keep it to yourself

It doesn't actually expire, and hasn't for the past several months, every time it comes to the "expiry date" the expiry date changes, meaning possibly a limitless supply of BOGOFs.

The current trend the food industry has brought about where 'fat' is now 'bad' for you is ridiculous, the fats that the food industry themselves have created/butchered are bad for you, but natural fats aren't until you refine/process and take away their natural omegas that in some cases reduce obesity and help balance LDL/HDL but alas, that said Gregg's sausage rolls are likely full of artificial fat which just perpetuates the myth that 'fat is bad'.

I think this deal was also in the voucher section of HUKD, still, hot from me.
Edited by: "Gynx" 29th Apr 2013

I don't like the normal sausage rolls, but the new egg bacon and sausage rolls are really nice, kind of remind me of quiche lorraine. Anyone know if you can use the voucher on those?

It's probably on special offer because they have reduced the size and increased the price but hey good deal if you were buying one anyway.

I love sausage rolls. I must say I do like the Greggs ones but I prefer the hot ones you can get from Tesco!
