Spotted this on my way through B&Q today (Harlow store). Was a stack of these gas barbecues all down to £30. Can only assume because it's end of the season. Can't find on the website so likely in store only clearing old stock.

Never seen a gas one this cheap, I prefer the old school way however so have never looked too hard.

Good luck hunting :-)

Bargain, am after one with a side burner myself but thats a bit of a trek!

None near any of my locals

looks like a customer has just crossed that sign out and put £30. i doubt they'd go that cheap but I suppose ringing that particular store and asking the price would confirm.

any in bradford

looks like it was only 99 to start with and currently 70 online with b n q , bargain but prefer the real mans way to bbq

although there is a post on here from 2 years ago stating they were 200, and the link here has same model but looks different from box

Link to this on the B&Q site (70 quid on there, still a bit of a bargain)

Between now and the end of October is silly season for gas BBQ prices, I tend to buy stuff like this out of season (got the brilliantly stylish Masterchef 2 burner from Tesco last October for 60 quid reduced from 200!).

It's not a bbq if it's gas! It's just a grill!! Might as well stay indoors and use your cooker!

Well, I know where you're coming from, but that's not strictly true. The fat still drips down onto the burner covers and the burning of that fat, gives the BBQ taste to the food. Not as well as the charcoal I agree, but still far superior to an oven.

Where was this picture taken to? In Plymouth?

Oh, Hot deal BTW. Gonna check my local store if I pop out.

Gas is better IMO (I have a Weber master touch charcoal which never gets used since I bought my cheap Argos gas BBQ)

An outdoor gas cooker to go with my outdoor bath, (or call it a hot tub if it makes you feel better) just need my outdoor toilet building, then im really up with the posh folk !!!

Totally agree! I was a dedicated charcoal BBQ user...until I got the Masterchef gas BBQ and the charcoal BBQ has gone to the dumpit site. So much more convenient and, as previously stated, the authentic BBQ taste mainly comes from ignited fat that drips down to the burner.

Howver, I do aspire to getting summat like this should my numbers come up.oO

There's a store stock checker box on the link I posted earlier. May stop you having a wasted journey?

Cook, cook, cook, cookability, that's the beauty of GAS!!!!

I missed it in your original post. And yes, it did save me a journey, it's not stocked in any of my local stores. So thanks for that...

It shows as not stocked in harlow so wouldn't trust the stock checker.

Anyone actually got one for that price?

Love using gas its quick and you can have a bbq at a moments notice between rain storms during the british summer

Just called the store, 3 left.... £30 is just for the top part of the bbq no base/legs!!! Still bloody cheap if u want to build one....

yeah im pretty sure people dont wash in a hot tub

Just been to Chelmsford and Braintree, not a single bbq left apart from some bbq missing the grill and knows

I spent a year in Oz & they all have gas. Just not the same. Did anyone see Gino D'acampo in Tuscany? Bistecca Alla Fiorentina over charcoal, mmmm the best way to cook meat!

Getting good flavour can be achieved in many ways on gas, wood chips, beer, lots of means.

None for that price in Cardiff Culverhouse Cross.

So its an expired job then surely? Not complete with no legs - worse than the standard goosechase

Deals on gas barbecues never fail to bring out the barbie snobs! Get over yourself.
I have a Weber Smoky Joe, and love a charcoal barbecue but each to their own, eh?

meh gas v charcoal
I use my Weber Q 3-4 times a week in all weather.
A gas bottle cost me £22
I use charcoal for a home built smoker (UDS) - which will also BBQ
I also use electric for a Bradley Smoker
So all bases covered in this argument 'o)
Gas for price & convenience is perfect.

Cheers for that, captain clueless.

Fire and gas. Just asking for trouble that.

Be posh like me and have both ... I haven't used my gas one yet and I am deliberating how to go about things. I also bought lava rocks in case I decide to MacGyver something up using the gas BBQ or portable gas burner.

I won't know until next summer, I move to a new place at the start of October.

Plus there is a lot more to cooking than just charcoal; sauces, marinades, rubs, smoking chips. Plus being able to quickly adjust temperatures makes a huge difference.
