This was at B & Q Watford. I was told if I went in with a 60+ year old tomorrow, extra 10% off!
Good luck...

I thought B&Q had stopped the 10% off if items were already discounted or on a multi-buy? They had last month in my local.

Correct

Store was closing, and this is what the staff advised - come back tomorrow, bring ID for the elder, and apply discount

Either way, it's half of online price, so I won't quibble over the tenner.
Model G350 was on "clearance" @ £269

It's actually £100 for box 1 and £100 for box 2 so £200 altogether. Still not bad.

Lol, are u serious? They would sell the bbq in halves? Hahah. I gotta go back for this!

Huh?

It's the only way they can ensure inventory is kept up to speed. Common in the retail place.

Oh dear. So not quite the bargain then!

Just checked my receipt and this is indeed correct.

Bought mine a few months ago for £214 minus 10%

Omg. I am so glad I didn't walk out of there with the one box!

Original Poster

And if it was £214 a few months ago, methinks this clearance is suspect!

No it was on promotion from 269 or something. Went to 214 for a month then went back up then end of season back down. Typical bouncing prices for seasonal goods

Thanks all, for the verification. I have now double checked with B & Q - the price is indeed £100 per box (x2) and no, the discount does not apply to clearance items. I have corrected the post to show the price as £200. Its more than I would want to pay, but doing a bit more digging, have found it cheaper at craberlee.co.uk/out…tml - plus £7 postage! Never used craberlee before - anybody out there with some feedback?

This was one of the top 10 bbq's listed by the Independent - so guessing it must be worth the cost

Are they legit as I an't seem to buy anything online and I can't get a contact number for them.

I don't think they are legit. If its to good to be true.....

That site does look a bit dodgy. Sometimes it's worth paying more knowing I can go to a brand that ain't going to shut down and I can go and have issues resolved quickly rather than mess about with sending stuff back via mail

now £75 per box £150 in total just bought one from the southport store
