Boots 1,200 points (worth £12) on £50 instore spend Wed or Thu

Found 29th Oct 2013
On Wed 30 OR Thu 31 Oct (depending on the store), get 1,200 Advantage Card points (worth £12) when you spend £50 at your nearest participating store (not all are participating - check the Boots Christmas Shopping Event link - posted in comments)

It's 1,200 points per £50 transaction - not 1,200 on top of the 200 you'd normally get on a £50 spend. If you're spending over £50 in one transaction, you'll still only get 1,200 points.

So if you're spending £100, split your transaction into two £50 shops to get two lots of 1,200 bonus points.

While if you're spending above £50 but below the next £50 threshold, say £75, then split this into a £50 purchase to get the bonus points and then a £25 purchase to bag the usual Advantage card points.

This a decent deal because it works on existing offers such as Boots' 3for2 mix & match range and the points are added to your account so you can use them straight away.

You can do the same online at Boots, but the minimum spend is upped to £75. You would be better off using the current voucher code offer highlighted in comments.

Exclusions: infant milks (up to six months), prescriptions, postage stamps, giftcards/vouchers as well as Boots Travel and Insurance Services, Opticians, Vision Plan, Hearingcare and Boots Treat Street. Points can't be spent on Boots Opticians, Boots Hearingcare or against mobile phone top-up cards, prescription items, infant milks (up to 6 months), gift vouchers/cards, postage stamps or Boots Travel and Insurance Services. It also can't be used with other points offers and you don't get the usual points per £1 spending.

It's the same now though just by using the XMAS2013 code online on a £50 spend and you get 1000 points on top of your normal 200 for £50 so 1200 altogether on £50 and more on higher spend so its better to just continue to use that code in my opinion.

Also triple points from 1st Nov to 3rd Nov and this weeks star gift from Friday is a Ted Baker set reduced to £19 (usually £40)

A good point. This deal is still good for instore spend.

Although they do sell some overpriced Christmas junk, this is a great deal. You'd have to spend over a grand in sainsburys to get the same on your nectar card!

It says except infant milk up to 6 months so if I buy infant milk size 3 (6+) will it be acceptable? Thanks

Or you could not buy anything and save £50

6+ milk is acceptable on the deal as its follow on but anything under isn't as by law they are not allowed to 'promote' formula. x

Its 1200 points for every £50 you spend so no need to split purchases !

I went to the last one at the beginning of the month so was given a coupon for an extra 500 points if attending this week.
Will definitely use it so will receive £17 worth of points when I spend £50.

Is the £50 spend the final amount on the receipt, or is it calculated before 3 for 2's, offers, or vouchers perhaps?

Be careful on this offer - i went to Westfield a few weeks ago and saw this up - but for some reason it was only from 12pm onwards!

Staff had no clue why it started half way through the day. I just waited to purchase my bits, as did a few others i heard around me.

Still a great offer tho

i am curious about this too

Last year I bought Itunes vouchers and they counted towards the £50 spend even though terms said no giftcards. Has anyone tried that this year?

The £50 will be after the 3for2 have come off. Eg buy 6 items at £10 = £60 - £20 = £40 and 3 at £5=£15 - £5 =£10 your till total would be £50. The 1200 would be awarded on this amount.
You could then use any gift vouchers but probably not any money off vouchers. If you had a voucher off a certain product you would have to make sure your total is still £50 after that has come off.

XMAS2013 code is not working online.Tried with £50 and £75 too.any idea?

I work for Boots and it won't work on gift cards. It has to be a £50 spend after any offers and it is on every £50 so £100 spend would get you £24 in points

Does anyone know if there will be an event like this a bit later in November? Thanks x

Yes, there will be. When you search for a store on boots.com/en/…tor, it shows you any extended opening hours. Mine shows 2 dates (one being today) where they are open late for the Xmas shopping evening (i.e points event).

Unfortunately the webpage is down right now, but should be back up shortly.

On the website it shows the new dates now - 13th and 14th November
boots.com/en/…nt/
There is a clickable link on this page which gives a whole list of stores and which day they are taking part.

I went last night and got a few more bits. I used giftcards to pay that I bought from morrisons so that I could save on petrol as well.

Was given another till coupon giving 500 points again if I attend the next shopping event on 14th november.
