Found this on MSE weekly email thought it was interesting so thought i would share this great find!! x

If you like Boots No.7 or Botantics ranges, you may be surprised to hear they may be cheaper in Poundland, but to get them at that price you need to uncover their disguise.

When a host of reports started to come into the MSE Forum that people had bought products in Poundland or B&M and when the label came off underneath were Boots own labels we decided to investigate.

What we found...

The key is looking for some of Pure labels in poundland.

Back at the office we gently peeled off the label (a little soaking helps) and low and behold found the Boots Botanic's Foaming Bath Soak' label underneath! Buy it in Boots and itd cost £4.99... see the pictures
Whats in the disguised range?

The majority of items found seem to be either creams or bath products from Boots No.7 or Botanics ranges.

Boot No7 Firming Body Cream (£8): MoneySaver Wendy5709 reported peeling back the label off their Pure Super Firming Body Cream bought in the Hartlepool Poundland and finding it to be Boots No 7 Fabulously Firming Body cream underneath, which is now discontinued but was worth roughly around £8.
Botanics Body Glow Lotion (£2): Forumer Louise J reported buying 2 bottles of Pure Holiday Sun for £1 at B&M. When she got them home and peeled off the label off it was Botanic's Body Glow lotion underneath worth £1.99 each.
Botanics Day Moisture Lotion (£4): Forumer Caroc bought the Pure day moisture lotion in the Hemel Poundland, peeled back the label and found it to be Botanic's Day Moisture Lotion worth around £3.99 in Boots.
Botanic's Vitamin Recovery Mask (£3): Caroc also bought a Pure recovery mask, peeled back the label and found it to be Botanic's Vitamin Recovery Mask which is now discontinued, but was worth about £3.
Botanics Body Sculpting Cream: Forumers Avisk and Monstermind in Motherwell found Pure Body Sculpting Cream 190ml which turned out to be Boots Botanic's Body Sculpting Cream which you can't buy here, but its listed on the US Boots site as worth $9.99.

thanks for that I now know what to look out for

I just got some of the body sculpting cream today!

They had some Botanics (pure) hand and nail cream in B&M near me , but that's it. Once the stock is gone, it's gone for good apparently. Didn't have any of the above mentioned in stock, all sold out already!

Interesting! will have a look, thanks

Will keep an eye out, thanks  rated

Do you think it's genuine products? I just had a thought that maybe they were wrongly labelled in the first instance by a manufacturer who has had to cover the labels with the correct ones then sell them cheaper.

I suppose if anyone is familiar with the scent of the Boots products they will know?

Its probably stuff that was manufactured for boots but they culdnt sell it (at the inflated price) - manufacturer puts a new label on and offloads what is effectively excess stock to the discount shops)

I believe its relatively common practice - although the re-labelling seems to have been pretty shoddily done !

Thanks for that, I'll have a look!

I believe Boots manufacture and label all their cosmetic ranges in house so don't think it would be that. They also produce cosmetics on behalf of companies like FCUK, supermarket own brands etc. Most of this stuff is likely to be old or dis-continued stock.

I've been and got some of this today and while I was in town popped into the local boots.

It looks liked the Botanics range has changed all its packaging. The bath creme I got from Poundland is a different label to the one in the shops now
