Viagra Connect is a medicine for adult men living with erectile dysfunction (ED) or impotence, as it’s sometimes called. Viagra Connect is the first erectile dysfunction medicine in the UK to be sold without the need for a prescription, which means you can order Viagra Connect discreetly online or buy in-store without the need to make an appointment with your GP.

How does Viagra Connect work?Viagra Connect contains 50mg sildenafil which relaxes blood vessels to help increase blood flow to the penis. By doing so, this can help a man get and maintain a hard enough erection for sex once he has been sexually aroused. It will not give you an instant erection and can take between 30 minutes to an hour to work.

Will Viagra Connect work for me?In clinical trials, 74 percent of men reported that Viagra Connect improved their erections. You should not take more than one tablet a day and if it doesn’t work after eight separate attempts, you should talk to your GP to discuss your options or consider using our Erectile Dysfunction Online Clinic*. This service offers the choice of six different prescription-only medicines which may be suitable for you following an online consultation. Charges apply.

Who is Viagra Connect suitable for?Viagra Connect is for men aged 18 or over who have erectile dysfunction symptoms. It’s for men who are fit enough to have sex, but unable to get or keep an erection hard enough for sexual intercourse. However, it may not be right for everyone. We’ll check if Viagra Connect is suitable by asking you a few questions online or in store related to your health and any medication you may be taking.

Viagra Connect is NOT suitable for:

  • Men under the age of 18
  • Men who do not have erectile dysfunction
  • Women
Viagra Connect may also not be suitable for men living with certain health problems (such as uncontrolled high blood pressure, liver problems or severe kidney problems) or men taking certain medication (such as those containing nitrates or ‘alpha-blockers’ used to treat an enlarged prostate) or sexually active men looking to improve their performance or sex drive. For a complete list of who Viagra Connect isn’t suitable for, please read the patient information leaflet or speak to a pharmacist in store.

Viagra Connect will be sold at the professional discretion of a Boots pharmacist. We’ll only process online orders or complete in-store transactions once the pharmacist has checked it’s safe and suitable for you to use. If Viagra Connect isn’t right for you, we’ll recommend other options to get you the help you need.

How do I order Viagra Connect on boots.com?You can buy Viagra Connect discreetly and in complete confidence online. Once you add Viagra Connect to your basket, you’ll be asked to complete an online questionnaire so that we can check the medicine is right for you. We’ll just ask you general health questions and see if you’re on any other medication. If you are currently taking any medication or have any diagnosed medical conditions, you’ll need to tell us so it might be a good idea to make a list before you start the process. Your answers will be reviewed by a pharmacist and, if Viagra Connect is suitable for you to use, your order will be processed within 24 hours. Your medicine will be sent in discreet packaging to your local Boots store or your home address – whichever is most convenient for you.

Can I buy Viagra Connect in store? You can also buy Viagra Connect at your local Boots if you’d like to use it the same day or if you’d prefer a face-to-face consultation, as you may have some questions you’d like answered. Simply head to the pharmacy counter and ask for Viagra Connect or you can ask to speak to the pharmacist in private. The pharmacist will ask you a series of general health questions, such as the names of any medicines you may be taking or any medical conditions you may have and be asked to confirm that you have erectile dysfunction symptoms in order to check that Viagra Connect is right for you. It shouldn’t take much more than five minutes. If Viagra Connect is right for you, you’ll be advised on how to use it and be given a tear-off slip which you can use the next time you want to buy Viagra Connect in store. The tear-off slip may make it quicker to buy more Viagra Connect, but we’ll still ask you some questions to make sure the medication is still right for you.

Does my GP need to know I’m using Viagra Connect? If Viagra Connect is suitable for you, we recommend you speak to your GP within six months of getting your first supply. Erectile dysfunction can be a sign of underlying health conditions, such as cardiovascular disease or diabetes, so it’s important that your GP can check you over. Your GP will also need to know you are taking Viagra Connect to make sure any new medication they prescribe for you is safe to use alongside Viagra Connect.

Are there any side effects when using Viagra Connect? All medicines have side effects and people may experience these to varying degrees.

Side effects that you may experience when taking Viagra Connect include:

  • Headaches
  • Hot flushes
  • Dizziness
  • Blocked nose
  • Indigestion
  • Nausea
  • Upset stomach
  • Changes to your vision
For a full list of the side effects, please read the patient information leaflet. If you get any side effects, talk to your GP or pharmacist. You can also report side effects directly via the Yellow Card Scheme at mhra.gov.uk/yel…ard or search for MHRA Yellow Card in the Google Play or Apple App Store. By reporting side effects you can help provide more information on the safety of this medicine.

When should I take Viagra Connect?Take one Viagra Connect 50mg tablet with water. It’s recommended that you take Viagra Connect approximately one hour before sex. It will only work with sexual stimulation. Your erection will subside after you’ve had sex. If you do have a constant and painful erection that lasts for over four hours, please seek urgent medical help. Remember, you can only take one 50mg tablet per day.

To get the most out of Viagra Connect, consider:

  • Getting in the mood – take part in foreplay with your partner to help you become sexually aroused
  • Take your time – there’s no need to rush, Viagra Connect will still work up to four hours after you take it
  • Watch what you eat & drink – Viagra Connect can be taken with food, but avoid high fat meals, like pizza, which can delay how quickly the drug works. Drinking excessive alcohol can reduce your ability to get an erection, so it’s advisable to avoid large amounts of alcohol before sex.

Is Viagra Connect genuine? You can be absolutely certain that you are buying genuine Viagra Connect at Boots. ‘Fake Viagra’ or any other counterfeit erectile dysfunction medicine have not been tested, may not contain the ingredients listed and can be dangerous. If you are using any counterfeit medication, stop immediately.

If you are living with erectile dysfunction, talk to a pharmacist or make an appointment with your GP to discuss your general health.

Cant see why this is a good deal. Get it prescribed by your doctor and get a pack of 8 for the cost of a standard prescription 8.60.

I used to work in a pharmacy and it wasn't available on the NHS, you had to get a private prescription and it was about £40 although I can't remember how many tablets that was for.
Long story Short, I dropped one of these, My dog ate it, He didn't die but let's just say he was "excited" for days
Please don’t be hard on the OP!!
Stiff price. Hope future price falls arouse interest.
Swallow quick to avoid stiff neck
Buy online it's soooo much cheaper and works a treat
Ideal for my mate Drew Peacock.
Good offer.......hard to beat.....
You can get Viagra alternative "Sildenafil" from Online pharmacies for less than £15 for 4 pills. They work exactly the same as these.

Now the patent on Viagra has expired, and generic Sildenafil is only 59p for 4 on the NHS drug tariff, it seems most will now prescribe it, although I get the impression not all weil and it's still a postcode lottery like most other things are on the NHS!

This happened in 20014, but the message seems not to have got through everywhere! pulsetoday.co.uk/cli…cle

It is also possible to get generic Sildenafil prescribed online (legitimately) at prices that beats the Boots pricing too.

Freebie

Who says HUKD doesn't have a sense of humour. After I posted this, I got a pop up (settle down now and wait for it) that said "Thanks for your comment, Keep it up!".
Get a consultation with an Asda pharmacist and it’ll cost you £9 for 4 50mg tablets or £11 for 4 100mg. No I don’t use them, I’m married to a pharmacist. (Hang on is she crushing them in my cocoa????)
These are also used to stop you falling out of bed
Another side effect of these tablets. Men often have a stiff neck **insert comical drum roll**

How recent is this? I might need an extra bed leg
If you get one of these, you can also use it to inflate your cycle tyres

That sounds like a shaggy dog story.
Never tried the tablets but got the eye drops. It didn't do much for function but it did make me look hard.

I used to buy Valium from an online Indian Pharmacy many moons ago (I know, not advisable) and they gave you free Sildenafil with every order. I ended up sellotaping them to a few male friends' Xmas cards as I had no idea what to do with them

The feedback I got was that they were probably sugar pills, as not much happened (not that I was there in the line of battle, ahem).

As in this morning when I asked the wife....
Viagra has been used in medicine for a lot of other purposes...its used in neonatal medicine to improve blood flow in premature baby's lungs and in adult male burns wards to keep the sheets off the legs...
