Tom Cruise delivers a riveting and unforgettable portrayal of Vietnam veteran Ron Kovic in Oliver Stones Academy Award winning masterpiece. Based on a true story, the acclaimed film follows the young Kovic from a zealous teen who eagerly volunteers for the Vietnam War, to an embittered veteran paralysed from the mid-chest down. Deeply in love with his country, Kovic returned to an environment vastly different from the one he left, and struggled before emerging as a brave new voice for the disenchanted.

WOOP WOOP NAM BABY
A very respectable 7.1 out of 10 on IMDB
uk.imdb.com/tit…69/
Tagline:

A story of innocence lost and courage found.
Won 2 Oscars. Another 10 wins & 14 nominations

Also starring Willem Dafoe AKA Sgt Elias and a host of other people from Platoon in cameo roles...

this film is Number 2 in the unofficial Trilogy of Vietnam films by Oliver stone after Platoon (find-dvd.co.uk/158…htm) and before Heaven & Earth (find-dvd.co.uk/D01…htm)....

Good action scene...not enough for my likeing but very good...bigger focus on the after effects of war and the way the GI's, casualties and non casualties, were treated by a country unprepared for such a war

Random Fact - Eagle Eye Cherry has a cameo in this film

I know my Nam baby

Glad you like it

Have ordered this for myself - though I'm not a massive fan of Tom Cruise - it looks really good!
