Don’t get these they are like chocolate.... for a few pound more you can get drill bits that will last and actually make the job easier.
A few tool police comments mentioning that professional grade bits are better than these..... no $$$$ Sherlock...the same as a Porsche is better than a focus but that focus still gets millions to work every day.
£12 for this pack is well worth it for the DIYer... I’ve had one for years and it will put up any shelf or Ikea furniture you can throw at it.... what more do most people need?

Great deal thanks
nice, cheers
Anyone actually got one....? Is it a throw away set ?

Decent price but don't assume the Bosch name automatically means they are good quality: it amazes me how even the 'premium' brands license their good name to be slapped on some tat.

I bought one of these a couple of years back for the same sort of price and I've had no problems. Still going strong. Can't see a firm like Bosch allowing their name to be used on crap.

Yeah their professional range is far better (and is usually found in blue coloured packaging). Their multi construction bits are outstanding!
What's the difference between this one and the X line.

Call me the tool police all you want but I used to buy cheap sets like this but I have learnt my lesson after one drill bit bent as I spun up my drill before trying to drill a hole. The bit that bent threw the drill out of my hands and came up and hit me in the head! It could have been really bad but luckily I had no injuries apart from my pride.
No good, poor quality

Are you sure that really happened??

Yep it was a longer drill bit than these in this set but yes I’m bloody sure. I had never seen it happen before either. I’m not saying it was a Bosch bit but it would have been a cheap set from one of the high street shops. Needless to say I didn’t use any others from that set. If you don’t believe me - bend a long foot long drill bit around 10mm and fire it up in your drill at full speed and see what happens.

People don't want help. You tell them something is rubbish and they buy it anyway.
Bending a drill Bit 10mm???:/
You need to keep it straight as in straight jacket🤪

I post deals (that I think others will like) when I find them. I contribute by voting and discussing. Not all my comments are advice. We can’t all be superheroes and up our own butt like you
oos now
I’ve got this and it’s a bit rubbish to be honest.
I have the set. It has worked fine for the odd jobs here and there. Perfect price for someone with light use. If your a professional you won’t touch it. Same with kitchen knives. How many of you spent £200 on a knife? Loads probably spent less than £30 on the entire set and it does fine.
I think I’m in love
Damn handy little set for occasional use, shame I missed out. Fingers crossed for more

Can any one recommended a good set for occasional use? Dewalt a good set?

You've posted 7 deals in 4 years, al you do is bashing people's deals, how is that helping
I paid about £40 for this about 2 years ago from Amazon. Does the job for DIY in the home! Used most drill bits, but every now and then I find myself buying bits that are not in the kit, but that's a given. £12 is a steal. Heat!

Have to agree, used a masonry bit from this same set a few years ago, rounded it off. My own fault for not buying better. Always buy the best for longevity, your sanity will thank you.
For the amount of times a basic home DIY'er will do a job at home these are great. Its not a bad brand, certainly not a 'foreign local supermarket that might sound like Albi or Libl' brand. I'd sooner pay that for a set than 1 top quality 1, they're not all gonna be a 8mm hole in masonry that you'll need

Yum, I like chocolate. For a few pounds less I can get chocolate that definitely won't last long but will actually make the job easier.

Can you recommend a good kit to get please? I recently had to drill through some metal and struggled with the bits I had. Eventually got the job done but it took quite a while.

Yeah just a set to have on hand ready for next time. I have a set that came with my Makita drill but the included bits were not very good.

Yeah in the sets they are not as good a quality as what they sell individually however the Makita ones or Dewalt ones do tend to be better (they are both around £20 on Screwfix). But in sets they tend to be more like jobber bits however the sets are handy to have for versatility. Was it the 101 bit set you had free with the drill?
