Bosch 10.8v/12v Pro Range 4Ah Battery £35.90 from Amazon UK £0 p&p

For owners of blue Bosch Professional 10.8v/12v power tools: the ‘large’ 4Ah Bosch-made battery from Amazon UK for £37. A German seller on Amazon charges £30 but p&p is £24. Camel shows this to be the cheapest since Dec ‘16, with the price rising in steps from £46 to a recent £64.

Just to confuse us, Bosch renamed their 10.8v range as 12v tools to please the North American market. There are reviews that say the retaining lugs break with the multi-tool (due to the severe vibrations) but I’ll be using it with the GKS circular saw which gets through its 2Ah ‘stick’ battery a bit too quickly after constant cuts at max depth. I also have the GST jigsaw and two drills from the range: they have paid for themselves many times over and perform well despite several years of abuse.

18v tools are still the best but I need to put everything into one medium-sized tool bag. Also, less tool weight means less muscle strain and less stress on my body after a day’s work

Don’t buy this for the green ‘diy’ range of 10.8v/12v tools: they are not compatible.

Good price and top information thanks fella. 😃
I find it strange that Bosch would make the Professional (blue) and DIY (green) 10.8/12v battery pack incompatible with each other, means you have to make 2 investments in ranges and why would you. Normally buy dewalt for 18v but have got the professional 12v as there are lots more tools in the range than dewalt and in many of the comparisons I've seen the bosch professional range comes out near the top in my 10.8/12v comparisons on a price and performance basis.

excellent kit here for the money:

why would you invest in the green if you're a pro?

why would you invest in the green if you're a pro?

There have been different tools in the green range that would compliment the pro range but incompatibility means I am not prepared to buy them and a separate range of batteries hence I stick to the pro range. If you could have used the batteries on both I might have bought some cordless green as well, there was a detail sander available previously and one or two other tools which aren't in the pro range, if I could have bought the kit and used the batteries on the pro range it was a worthwhile investment, but otherwise not as they were nice to haves.
