Just received an alert from camelcamel - price dropped from £59.
38 cm cutting width. Good for those with a small garden and and who want exercising.
Don't know if it's better than some 30cm one by "Garden Gear" for £35 (apparently reduced from £100+delivery)

These are absolute rubbish. I sweat buckets cutting my little lawn. If the grass is any way long like 2 weeks it wraps around the wheel and makes it almost impossible to move. Can't be used in the wet as it slips. I threw mine in the skip after 2-3 uses as otherwise my heart would have gave up the fight.
Normally get a used one for a tenner on gumtree/ebay from thr guys to weak to push them over their bumpy lawn.

Really tempted by one of these, I have a petrol lawnmower at the moment, but read you can get a better cut from one of these? Plus it's easier then lugging the lawnmower around to the front of the house.

You get a better cut with cylinder mowers than rotary mowers. You can cut lower with a cylinder but no good if you dont have a nice, level lawn.
As an owner of this mower please keep this in mind...

Only purchase if you plan to mow every 3-4 days and you have an even lawn.

It works perfectly on my front lawn but it is useless on the back lawn

Have used hand pushed cylinder mowers for over 10 years. As others have said:

1) Lawn needs to be flat, although can work if it is slightly bumpy but then you would be better off with a rotary mower.
2) Is not suited for long grass - if you have a fast growing grass for your lawn, be prepared to cut every week in Summer.
3) No cables or petrol, takes up less space, easy to use.
Honestly, get an electric mower. Even in a small garden, it’s hard work on uneven lawn.
Haha, I can't believe Bosch are putting their name to a manual lawn mower ?

Next up, DeWalt placing their name to kitchen knives.
I've used a Qualcast version of this for years and I will never go back to an electric mower.

My lawn is 2m X 4m and I used a manual for a few years.. honestly, it’s not worth the hassle. Get an electric.
Damn, I was looking for a washboard and a mangle...
Why is this hot - just why?
Bought one for about 17.99 a few years back to use in addition to my electric mower. Fine if you are using on a flat lawn with fairly short grass in the centre but around the edges and corners pretty hopeless, need to push fast, won't cut properly without momentum. Would have peed me off if I had spent 45 quid on one.

Do they get blunt and if so how do you sharpen
I bought one of these, very dissatisfied with it's performance, not a patch on Qualcast and got no reply from their customer service when asked for advice.

Bosch support is surprisingly awful for a premium brand - didn't reply regarding my (electric) lawnmower either. I eventually got through to someone in Germany who promised a return call - never happened!

Had one from Wilkinson’s for 3 year never sharpened or maintained and it’s fine, grass isn’t compacted so have to empty more than electric or petrol but fine on my flat square lawn 8 m x 3 takes about 20 minutes if done weekly, one it’s longer it’s a nightmare and takes double the time
