I've been looking for a hedge trimmer for a while and stumbled across this offer at the weekend. This seems like fantastic value at £59.99 (product is priced at £74.99, but currently there is 20% off online until the end of today at homebase, so you can reserve one online to click and collect).

The same trimmer is currently selling for £92.99 on amazon and the lowest its ever been priced is the current price in homebase:

Ordering from homebase also gets you 120 Nectar points and you can get an extra 2.5% off with Quidco (or 2.1% with Top cashback) for reserve and collect sales.

These are pretty good, though they sound weedy when running compared to a cabled one. The antiblock is good too, quick autoreverse then chomp action.

Going to put mine through its paces this evening,I was waiting for a good trimer deal so let the hedge in front of my house get a bit out of control!

Super hot deal this. Got one for 57 quid without battery a while back and very impressed with it. Made cutting my ten ft high conifer hedge a breeze.

wrong price.... needs to add P&P as you cannot collect from store anymore
Price available in store until Sun 14th Jun and online until Mon 15th Jun.

Great trimmer. Thanks for reminding me I have to get mine out!

Seems to be fine to order online and collect in store at the discounted price http://i.imgur.com/fX7IyRW.png

Got mine a few weeks back from Homebase C&C at a similar price, it has to be collected and paid for within the days the discount is active i.e. tonight, reserving today and paying tomorrow wont work.

It came with 2.0 amp power pack which was not obvious at the time and some were worried it was a lesser 1.6.

As a mini review: it ran for 35mins on a full charge on approx 30m x 2m tall hedge, its great a on groomed hedge for a uber fast trim. but it lacks the grunt of my older cabled unit and it sounds pretty feeble. It is lighter but - I hate the complex safety trigger system that requires a quiet a grip on it that negates the weight saving as it introduces fair amount of fatigue for me at least.

well I voted hot for you as the price is discounted - but having had several hedge trimmers now I'd urge anyone to buy a stihl. We now have a long reach one and it's at least three times as fast. Makes the job easy. One of those cases where buy cheap and you'll regret it.

expensive again. cold
