Powerful electric hedgecutter ideal for trimming small to medium sized hedges. The Bosch AHS 50-16 hedgecutter comes with a powerful 450 watt motor and a full 50 cm blade length, 16 mm tooth spacing and diamond ground blades which give a clean and precise cut. Its style and size make it ideal for taller privet or other young, small to medium hedges.

Buying tips for choosing your Hedgecutter: choose the required tooth opening based on the branch thickness of your hedge. When doing so, remember that a hedge will grow. The height and depth of the hedge determine the optimum blade length. The longer the blade, the more you will cut your hedge in one sweep.

terrible. purchased this the other day and the teeth snapped

Id rather spend a bit more and get a chainsaw.

Avoid. The rechargeable batteries are poor. Will only last half an hour at most and if left charged will ebb away to unusable after a week. So, you won't be able to cut your hedge on a whim, you will have to remember to charge the battery the night before.

Had no problem with the effectiveness of light trimming. Anything 'meaty', this is not the beast for you. I would not recommend any electric hedge trimmer. IMO you would be much better buying something like this.

2 years warranty

rechargable or mains?

Mains - there's no battery in the pic and you can see a bit of the lead sticking out the back

I bought one of these at b and q but it was a few quid more expensive. A good hedge trimmer which I can confirm is corded. The Bosch brand ensures the motor is bullet proof so long as you use it for small to medium hedges.

Bought a few weeks ago. Used last week. It's ok for the price but if you have thick branches or a lot to do is recommend getting a different one.

Wow. . 21 Hours in and still no Comets about Tricky Hedges.
