i have one of these and i think they are great.

why is this going so cold, i cant find it cheaper?

No logic on here.

i only ever expect a genuinely cheaper item to go cold when its an apple device

These are absolutely brilliant for electric hedges, but a waste of time for gas hedges.

I can only presume it's because you can get hedge trimmers for 1/4 of this price.
So it's possible people are judging this by hedge trimmer prices and not this specific model pricing. Only a thought..

Worth waiting a month or so, the B&Q sales are starting, i picked up a B+Q own brand hedge cutter for £12 last year around this time

screwfix have a titan one for £40ish and its brilliant

I agree, best hedge cutter I've owned. That said 1st one broke after hitting large piece of hedge. May have been unlucky, good service at sfix as changed straight away and no problem with second one.

wouldn't a petrol one be better?

Great if you are remote from power, just have to put up with the noise and possible/probable faffing about with petrol engine.
Plus, the blades are generally longer on an electric at a cheaper price point.

-45 degrees.... ouch, don't think u can compare £40 trimmers to these beasts, oh well each to their own

Yes you probably CAN get a hedge trimmer for a tenner in one place or another but as with most things you get what you pay for, and this one's a quality item.

You're an idiot if you compare a £40 trimmer to this, and anybody who is voting cold on that basis deserves for their cheap trimmer to break at the first bit of wood it hits, and buy them multiple times over which then isnt much of a saving.

Bit quick with the idiot comments aren't you. Quite an offensive remark for people who have had experience of another item and mention it for people who may not be able to afford or want to pay for the bosch. The titan is great and for most people will more than do the job.
BTW. I voted hot for this deal.

just googled the Titan hedge trimmer, you'd have to be a 'tight un' to buy them....

i must be then. I have about 45 yards of hedge and it does the job no bother at all where I can reach. for the bits hard to get at I use a 2 stroke petrol multi tool.

But the vote should be for the deal, not I can buy a hedge trimmer for a tenner so this is cold. Everything of quality or branding would be freezing if you applied that same approach.

Thanks for the apology!
As stated I voted hot. Since when have reasonable comments not been allowed in the discussion?
P's cannot see a £10 trimmer on this thread.

just got one from B&Q in Blackpool with my dad so got the extra 10% so £108 for a 700mm reach hedge trimmer.

The comparison to the Titan one is fair for a large hedge trimmer but the Bosch is a different size and power of product:

Titan - 550W. Cable length 6m. Cutting blade size 60cm. Cutting capacity 20mm. Overall length 105cm. Weight: 3.4kg.
Bosch - 700W, Cable length 10m. Cutting blade size 70cm. Cutting capacity 34mm end saw 38mm. Overall length 121cm. Weight: 3.9kg.
