I`d recommend any nilfisk over a K2.

Why? Bit more detail please.... Any opinion on the Bosch?

I think it is because the Nilfisk has a metal pump and the Karcher plastic. I have a bigger Bosch washer than this and it is superb, well built and a high output.

I don't have a Karcher, I have the Bosch AQT 37-13plus Pressure Washer. Not sure if the Bosch is Plastic or Metal sorry.

I find it strange that you'd say the Nilfisk was better than the Karcher because it has a metal pump and the Bosch is better but you don't know what pump it has.

I'm not having a go - it's just an odd combination of statements.

Let me beat down my train of thought - it might help you relate (or it might not)

Point 1. Recommending a washer because they they think it has a metal pump and they think (implied) the other has a plastic pump
Point 2. Person saying this has neither of the two brands being discussed
Point 3. Person does not know what type of pump their own Bosch has.
Point 4. Recommends Bosch because "it is superb, well built and a high output"

So let me break down my thinking on why I thought it was a strange collection of statements...
- Point 4 recommends on the basis on being well built and a high output. Point 1 makes no direct reference to these but implied by perception that a metal pump is better than a plastic one without any consideration to the rest of the construction
- Point 2 highlights that the person owns neither of the compared items and as seen in point one, the use of the word think speculates as to why they are recommending - no firm basis for the recommendation.
- Point 3 illustrates that the type of pump is not in this person's buying criteria, as they do not know what type their Bosch has.

I apologise if my thinking still does not make clear why I find it a strange collection of statements - we'll just have to diverge on the subject I'm afraid.

I'll conclude by recommending in a similar manner... I'm sure all three brands / models are good pressure washers and would recommend them but I do not own either of them and have no experience with them.

well we can stop easily enough at point 1

foxy asked why czechoslovakia would recommend any nilfik over a k2
towner explained why he thought that cechoslovakia would do so

this is the root of your misunderstanding and independent of anything to do with bosch and towners feelings about it

You make a good point but removing czechoslovakia's initial comment still makes it a strange collection of comments
Have a good day.

We gain nothing from arguing the toss over differing perspectives of the posters here that contain little of benefit to anyone. We could go round this until the cows come home and we're only guaranteed to lose time over it.

Let me give you some time back to spend with your friends and family here...

I have acknowledged that you have made a good point and stated that I have a differing perspective on what is a strange collection of comments, regardless of it you feel it's correct or incorrect perception.

Lets leave it there.

What a terrible thread. Why cant people just concentrate on the deals and stop trying to out do each other. None of the above comments are any help to anyone.

Well Said

ps...are you really the scatman? Loved your song, I'm the scatman......

Oh dear, wish i`d kept my gob shut now.....
Yes, i`d go for a Nilfisk over a K2 mainly because the plastic pumps used in K2`s are prone to bursting/leaking/wear. Nilfisk`s metal pump is far more durable, as is the rest of it (in my humble experience). And I base this on having owned 3 Karchers, 2 Nilfisk, 1 Makita and 1 "AA" brand.
Err, so the Czechoslovakian Scatman recommended a Karcher with a plastic pump, made by Nilfisk?

I need to have a lie down
