Fed up of having to reline my strimmer (and it spewing out), i went looking for a blade system, only to find they were over £50 in homebase/argos/online....

Found this strimmer, also cordless and lightweight, which is £55 every where else (not to be confused with corded Bosch Art 23 which is about £20) for £19.95. Its says 66% off so i dont think it is a missprice... Postage is £5.95 to UK

Brilliant this is, I got one for my mum who was sick and tired of the line strimmer uselessness.

A couple of words of warning.. the charger is the worst thing i've ever seen - the instructions say when the battery gets hot it is charged...it takes about 4 hours I think... A long time to wait when you've ran out of juice after half hour of strimming.

We got around it by getting another battery and I gave my mum my Bosch drill charger - this is a proper charger with conditioning and only takes 70 minutes from flat.

Yup that's a good price. Voted Hot. It is £45 on Amazon and the non cordless version is £19. I have been after a cordless trimmer and this seems much better than the Spears & Jackson one from Woolies. My Bosch lawnmower is excellent.

,,,,,,,,,,

great price for this! have some heat and rep
the plastic strimming blades are not very resistant though and wear very quickly - avoid strimming too close to hard obstacles if possible. have not yet ordered replacements so not sure how expensive they are

thanks for that aerotec!

Dont recommend this, ive gone from a better one than this (cordless) back to a corded strimmer, the power just isnt there like a corded one and it runs down VERY quickly, and is infuriating when you have forgot to charge it and need to strim then have to wait 4 hours for a rubbish 20-30 min strim time, currently using a 12 quid corded one from b&q and it pi$$es on the cordless one

glad some people like it.

Horses for courses IMO - i certainly wouldnt use it for a large patch of land! However, for a bit of trimming and the edges of my garden it will be fine. As long a i remember to charge it :whistling:

its the one at Argos/homebase for £32. I got one and the power goes down to quickly

It's a bargain price, but I wouldn't recommend it. Got mine on 10% off day at Homebase (still more expensive), and found it to give a dreadful cut, and go through the blades at quite a rate - worst strimmer I've ever owned. Took it back for a refund.
