RRP of £440, but sells for about £350 online, so very good price. (My first deal so forgive me if I've done it wrong).

I cant find it cheaper.

I can't think of a better way to attract rats to your drains and house

I got my quiet garden shredder from Wickes when it was on offer for £89 about 7 years ago. I'm more than happy with it and so are most of my work colleagues who often borrow it. It's still being sold, but is £135 at present. It seems they have modified the exit of the shredder to adhere to new safety laws which has caused one bad review. It shreds up to 40mm abut so long as you can put it in the top it will come out the bottom shredded. It has only jammed a handful of times but the reverse facility clears it.
I would say to anyone out there that wants a shredder, in my experience a cheap quiet (crushing) type is far better than a cheap fast noisy shredder.

i had a shredder from homebase which was approx £150 - took an age to feed the branches in - 10 times quicker to have a bonfire

These quiet shredders are good. I just replaced an old bosch which had been worked hard and left outside for 12 years with same, hardly used, off ebay. Would have got the wickes one otherwise.
The noisy spinning blade type which need every branch pushing in constantly are just not worth having - even for free!!

Anyone wanting a shredder (and this looks very similar) for a 'one off' use you can hire one from HSS for a week (just over £50) and apparently (not looked into details) if you book online you get £20 discount.
