Just bought one of these and it kicks our old Dyson's 4rse!
Build quality is superb compared to Dyson and the variable suction is really useful.
Couldn't find this cheaper than £200 anywhere else so as far as I can see it's a bargain. John Lewis are selling the model below this for £203!! and this has all the features of that model plus self cleaning filters!

Product details
Filter maintenance is a thing of the past with the Bosch BGS6235GB. This clever - and not to say good looking machine - automatically cleans the filter, ensuring maximum performance.
And thanks to lifetime filters you’ll enjoy minimal maintenance with no subsequent costs, the RotationClean™ System keeping your double HEPA filter clean with just the turn of a handle.

The large 3-litre fully-sealed dust container makes emptying the BSG6235GB simple, plus there are four wheels for extra manoeuvrability, so reaching all those hard-to-reach places is no longer an issue.

it's Miele - and they are over hyped, over priced vacuum cleaners.

This is NOT a hoover.
It is a Bosch bagless cylinder VACUUM CLEANER

I think we know that. Does it really matter, though?

Yes it does, it's like calling all cars a Ford.

As I said, why does it matter? What possible harm has it done to you or anyone else?

Pedantry on HUKD is a pretty futile exercise.

It is incorrect English, sir.

Perhaps, but if we're going to be pedantic your earlier comment, below, should have a full stop rather than a comma after 'does':

Yes it does, it's like calling all cars a Ford.

But it doesn't matter a jot - just as it doesn't matter a jot if someone decent enough to post a deal such as this includes the word 'Hoover' in the title.

It was a good deal (which I was delighted to take up - thanks Richiem14) and when someone takes the trouble to post a deal it's a bit churlish to start picking silly holes in it.

Hello guys

Does anyone know the John Lewis product code for this VACUUM cleaner?

I'd love to try and track one down if there are still any lurking in stores, but the call centre robots can't help me with only the Bosch part number.....

Try this - 85562125

If I were to call my Hoover (which is a Dyson) a vacuum cleaner, I would be considered as trying to be hoity toity, which in Scotland means a snob and is not tolerated. It's been a hoover to my Gran, to my Mother, to myself and will continue to be a hoover to my kids and theirs. Get over it !
