Bosch built in oven with two year guarantee - brushed steel - £239.41 delivered from Comet + Quidco

Our oven died this evening and the replacement control PCB for it was over £200 from AEG - absolute rip off.

Luckily Comet have £50.99 off a Bosch built in oven, but you can get another 11% off to make it £239.41 including free delivery using code OVEN11 - saving over £80 off. Topcashback @ 2.52% would take the price down to £233.38.

Great saving on a Bosch oven which are normally pretty pricey - and it includes a two year parts and labour guarantee.

I install these every day and they are good ovens - only negative point is the top gets hot when the grill is on, but knobs stay cool and because this is brushed steel it should be pretty resilient. Installation is a piece of cake if you already have the wiring in place - if you can remove two screws and wire a plug, you can easily put an oven in - 15 minutes tops. The identical oven from my wholesaler is £323.88!

Maybe it's just me who's nosy and wants to see what all the little symbols are.
Excellent oven.

If you happen to live in Birmingham or Leamington, you can pick it up even cheaper from these guys ... kingdomappliances.co.uk/Bos…4_d (£229.00)

£20 delivery charge if you don't live nearby though.

(*EDIT* .... Just noticed that one is ex-display. Still, as long as you get all the guarantees with it, it sounds like it should be good as new once fitted)

Heat anyway cos it's a good price and more easily available from Comet.

Yeah, but if I'm standing 10 feet away from my monitor I can't quite make out one of the symbols on the left
brushed steel and black minimalism is the only way to go
Great deal, even better image. HOT!

hmm, reading the reviews I don't like the idea of the front panel getting hot - sounds like bad design and seems to only ship with one shelf as standard.
Beats me why people buy these. I'd rather fill the space with a double oven!
Voted hot for the deal btw!
Just incredibly impractical!
I'm a fan of this..........

A double oven would not fit in a 60x90 unit would it? plus, not everyone does a lot of cooking.
good price,voted hot
Bosch - Invented for Life

Bosch stuff is great, got the whole kitchen done out with Bosch appliances, these ovens really do get unbelievably hot in seconds, and look great...

have some heat OP
Aren't you meant to grill with the door shut?

Fat Northerner by any chance?

Can anyone with electrical know how tell me if this one can be wired to a normal plug? I need to replace my old one but some say some can be high powered and need to be hard wired. anyone know?
Bear in mind according to reviews this isn't a plug and play oven it needs to be hard wired so you will need to pay an electrician

Not happy with cooker at all. Had two engineers out as the temperature of it was extreme. I could not touch the buttons to turn it OFF as the whole front of the cooker and the door was red hot. DO NOT LIKE AT ALL WORST COOKER I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!

still great price though

This needs to be hardwired to a dedicated circuit, as it uses in excess of 13A at full power. If your current cooker already has a separate fuse in your fusebox it's most likely already on it's own 32A circuit. If your current cooker is plugged in just replace the plug socket with the correct wall fitting - these are less than £1. If it's just plugged into a socket in your kitchen you would need to consult an electrician as socket circuits aren't designed for this sort of load.
Lol how hard do you think it is to connect a couple of wires up?!
Ordered, thanks for posting. All things considered, a good price for a decent branded oven.
why do i need an electrician? surely turn of electric in house, take wires out of old one and put in new one? or am i missing something?

Generally single ovens can run off a 13 Amp plug as they draw around 3KW, but obviously check the manual. Whereas double ovens require more power and need a dedicated 32 Amp supply.
Not a bad price at all - kicking myself as I would have gotten this great deal if it was around 2 weeks ago! Ended up getting an AEG one for my kitchen.

Bought an integrated dishwasher from Comet two weeks ago and cannot fault service at all. Easy to order online, fixed delivery date offered, and they came and went without any hassle at all. Much better than Currys - which kept me in the dark about another appliance that showed as in stock on their product page but was actually not available for another 4 weeks!
Is this standard size?
will it be easy to replace/fit the existing one?

Any DIY experts here?

Thanks in advance
Some Bosch/AEG require HO5 VVF cable due to the heat and feed they require. Do so at your own risk but consider the consequences and risk involved
Does it definately come with 2 shelves ?
Voted hot, but it's unclear if it only comes with one or two shelves. Only one shows in the picture and most of the spec page is blank.
We bought one a couple of years ago. It's okay, but not brilliant. Despite the fan, cooking is uneven. Ours is wired to a 13 amp plug. I fitted it myself. It's a doddle. It came with two shelves. We haven't had any probs with the outside being too hot. HTH
We've got this oven too and are very pleased with our purchase (had it just over a year).
The fan is noisier than you might expect but we have had no problems with uneven cooking. Ours was hardwired by an excellent local electrician for £15 (don't spend it all at once).

Comes with two shelves, simate.

Nice price, would be tempted but does it only have 1 element?
We have a baumatic that has a slight fault (needs switching off totally to reset) - it went wrong 2 months after the 2yr warranty and baumatic didn't want to know....

Sorry if dumb question but does this also have a grill?

Also is there any reviews on the oven?
Our Bosch oven is very similar to this one. I can't say I was very impressed when the element went after less than 4 years (and that the element was a non-standard size so you had to replace with an expensive Bosch one). Having said that, this is a very good price.
Good price now, but few months back I went for this, miles better in functions, design, look and feel!

Baumatic reviews scored nearly 10 out of 10!
Which review:

This fan oven from Bosch cooks evenly whether you're using the oven or grill, and heats up quickly - but the stainless steel version isn't easy to clean.

The HBN331E0B preheats quickly, reaching 150°C in less than seven minutes, and the thermostat works well to maintain the correct temperature inside the oven.

The fan ensures that heat is spread evenly throughout the cavity, so this model would be great for batch baking - though it only comes with one shelf. Additional shelves can be purchased separately.

The grill is excellent - it browns food evenly over a large surface area, but it's not variable so you'll have to heat the whole element even if you only want to grill a single sausage.

The grill can be used alone or with the fan, and the fan oven also has a defrost setting, but there's no conventional cooking mode.

It has a digital clock with a minute minder which is a countdown timer that sounds an alarm when your cooking time is up. It can be set in advance so the oven can be cooking your dinner while you make your way home from work.

The stainless steel exterior isn't easy to keep clean, but the white (HBN331W0B) and black (HBN331S0B) versions should not show hand prints quite so readily.

Pros Accurate controls, cooks evenly, preheats quickly, excellent grill, programmable oven

Cons Difficult to clean, only one shelf supplied, no conventional top and bottom cooking

Ive bought a few for flats over recent months and you will get one just as good for less. Have a look at Homebase and wait for the 15% off ( every other week).

Here's a link, remember there's 15% off these prices.

H05VV-F is just standard thermoplastic, I'm surprised it says this is ok in the installation instructions when it also says "fitted units must be heat resistant up to 90°C and adjacent unit fronts up to at least 70°C" It does say H05VV-F or better, but many other manufacturers just specify H05V2V2-F to begin with which is heat resistant.

I wonder if the excellent electrician used H05V2V2-F

davem

Does it definately come with 2 shelves ?

1 shelf (as per photo above) + 1 enamelled roasting tray(?) with a removable shelf
