v good dishwasher, got it for last 2 yrs, same price, no probs at all

If you're not going to spend more than £350 ish then this is the best one around - it does everything I need on the 30 minute quick wash It's quiet too.

Great deal!

I've had this machine for nearly two years. It's been great but I've never tried the quick wash as we tend to fill it till it's bursting - do you think it will still work?

Either way - great machine!

I don't have plumbing for dishwasher @ Home. .Will their installation service for 14.95 do that too ?? Any ideas ?? or just unpacking??

EDIT-->
It was on their site..

Freestanding Dishwasher installation
This installation is available to customers who have bought a dishwashing appliance.

Here’s what we’ll do:
• Disconnect the existing appliance
• Evaluate the plumbing
• Unbox and check the new product
• Remove transit bolts
• Connect to existing plumbing and electrical sockets plus level the appliance
• Test the appliance to make sure there are no leaks

What we don’t do:
• Plumb two waste pipes into one
• Make any alterations to existing plumbing or electrical connections.
• We can only install to existing connections.

Free Recycling
Our home delivery team can collect your unwanted large appliance or TV (37” or above) for recycling completely free of charge when they deliver your new one. This saves you the time and trouble of taking your old appliance away yourself and it’s better for the environment too. (Your old appliance should be safely disconnected prior to our arrival.)

thanks for that info.

thanks OP.
Been putting off getting a new dishwasher for ages...this one sounds like it should be good value for money.

We bought a Bosch SMS4012 dishwasher 20 years ago and despite almost daily use it is still going strong and has never broken down once. All we've had to replace in that time is the door handle, the cutlery basket and last year a couple of the lower rack wheels and the dispenser seal. A pretty good advert for Bosch longevity I guess.

Give it a shot !

Things you need to do though - quick rinse under the tap for stuff with lots of food on... and try not to let stuff dry on... clean any egg off with cold water first... then it should be fine however much you put in!

I'd get a plumber to add an extra water supply and drainage point - not sure if that's the technical term but unless you have had a dishwasher in the place you want it then you do need a plumber.

I didn't have plumbing for my dishwasher too but I did it myself. It isn't that difficult and it can save you a lot of money. I added a y-connector from the cold water pipe (to allow the washing machine and dishwasher to be connected from the same cold water pipe).

I then bought an extension pipe to the sink trap to allow the waste water from the dishwasher to exit. I also had to buy an extended 3m water hose and 2m waste hose.

hotdeals: I have the SMS50E06UK model and I also wait until my dishwasher is full. I always use the economical 30 minute wash (with Finish Powerball tablets). I pretty much always get a perfect wash. The only times I don't are when I forget to clean out the filter!

Thanks for the advice.. Might need someone to do the job as Dishwasher will be located couple of shelves away from sink trap & washing machine... I am not that confident to take all the plumbing under the shelves..

No worries Deepakgeorge!

My dishwasher is also located a couple units away. It was tricky drilling in the cupboards though!
If you're not that confident that I would let someone else do it (I also thought about employing a plumber).

I think the total cost was approximately £20 with about two hours of my own time. If you want advice on how I did it, let me know.

Got to go to bed now so goodnight!

unfortunately new ones wont be same quality

Good price.

We bought a Bosch built-in dishwasher and washing machine in 2006 when we moved house in July 2006.

Nearly 4 years on and we have not had a single problem with either unit.
No leaks or broken parts.
So far so god.

My OH did the plumbing for the dishwasher because it was next to the sink and he isn't that good at DIY.:whistling:

Our dishwasher has had it, shame this deal isn't in silver.

Thats why I'm not replacing mine
Our old Bosch is 15 years old and cost ~£440

The only repair was for a gummed up inlet pipe at 13 years old. Fixed with 2 kettles of boiling water and a huge (~18") nylon rod (tie-wrap) rodded up the inlet point under the drain (why that is horizontal is anyones guess). The £40 quid guy showed me how to take it all apart and clean it properly too. Will do it myself if it happens again.

The soap dispenser started to fail ~2 years ago... We just sling the finish tablet in the bottom (as they only melt fully when they are hot) &* it's never ever failed to clean properly ever since.

Voted Hot. Purchased the "Slimline" version 2 years ago.Excellent build quality.

Have been looking for one of these for months and this is the right price. Thanks to the OP

Bet it's the same one as mine! The wee tablet dispenser 'spring' broke at 10 years old and £25 for new 'unit' so we just placed tablet in bottom....works fine....it tended to fire it out after only 30 seconds anyway so i don't see point of this dispenser. anyway...we got this new model 4 months ago....lesser quality than older model but much cheaper and still 2 years guarantee...works well!

meh, need an intergrated dishwasher.

good deal tho'.

Great Deal!

Altho if anyone comes up with a similar "Counter Top" size one I'd love to hear about it, unfortunately we just don't have the space for a full size

I did see a really cheap one in Argos a few months back, but reviews show you can't get sod all in it! There's a bosch version that takes pretty much anything tho apparently...

I noticed that someone said they did the plumbing themselves and put a "y" connector into the sink trap. If you look at the terms of the installation it says that they will not connect an appliance that shares a trap. I assume this is because the outflow from the dishwasher requires the full pipe diameter when pumping out and if you were to pull the plug at the same time on the sink it may well fill and not empty! If you do this or your existing plumbing is like this then fit it yourself as I am sure they will use this as an excuse to not fit it!

Bosch appliances get the

Thanks , being delivered Thursday.

Many thanks, being delivered next Saturday.

All new Bosch machines since last 15 years are built to bust itself after x cycles of use, usually about 4-5 years on average. If they were built to last 20 years, many people would be out of a job. I got an AEG dish washer 15 years ago..it is still going , fingers crossed but I doubt if the newer ones would be like this. When we bought this the English made ones probably lasted 4/5 years. So if the 20 year German ones now last 5 years then the English made one probably would last one year (that's why there ain't any English made ones).

Still the best deal under £350 though!

cant believe mine broke just as this expired, i have the same model, only 3 and a half years old, the heating element has gone, no gurantee, bosch said its not worth repairing, as it will be not much difference in cost to buying a new one, they said that they only last around 5 years average
