Hopefully this can be a hot one, psb should be an impact drill, and detector itself is £42 in the diy store.

2 batteries for drill
Nice deal. If anyone wants a combination pack with one of these drill/drivers, 2 X 2ah batteries and a proper impact driver for £110 there's 2 left here on eBay so not worth me starting a thread.

Just been and got one. Nearly went for the Bosch deal from Robert Dyas but glad I waited. Extra battery, better drill, and bonus of the detector for the extra £25. Cheers
I got 2 batteries deal last week for £60 from Bunnings after they did 10% off price match with Robert Dyas. So over all 25% off.
In which case I’ll pop to b and q. I’ve already got one of these plus the impact driver and jigsaw so best part of this is bringing my number of batteries up to 6
Really sad that it's cheaper to buy a new drill than replace the dead batteries in my immaculate Makita.
Is there a big difference between this Bosch PSB 1800 and the Bosch GSB 18?

It’s £25 more but has 2amp batteries instead.

screwfix.com/p/b…16t

Curious if there are any main advantages for one over the other.

Thanks!
Pretty great deal. The drill is pretty good alone, the batteries last agesss, like it'll be hard to run down a battery in a day unless you're doing things like decking boards and screwing down 30 decking boards with 8 screws each(240 total + drilling maybe). But since you have 2 you just wont be caught with no charge. I've had the drill for about 3 years now and I love it, it's not failing at all. It would be an okayyy price without the detector but it's a great price withhh it, makes putting up things like TV wall mounts and stuff so much quicker and safer.

Only downside to the drill is that it has no spirit level built in.

Well first of all the GSB is out of stock at that price. And GSB is Bosch’s pro range where as PSR/PSB is the home/diy range. GSB is better built.

The GSB is from the Professional range and streets ahead of the PSB (which is still a good drill) - double the torque, bigger chuck capacity (13mm against 10mm), higher rpm, 3 year guarantee, better build quality.

The only problem is that the batteries are not compatible with Bosch Green, and other tools in the Professional range are significantly more expensive! If you can afford it or if you only intend to get the drill, then great; if not, I'd personally stick with
the Green Power4All, which are perfectly good for general diy.

But of a punt here, but anyone know of a good stud/wood detector? That actually works.

Thanks, that helps a lot! I’ll get this.

Look at the ones on amazon plenty of reviews on there. More you spend the better they are. But if you buy a decent one it should last forever

Would rather pay 15 quid more at bnq than buy from someone who has a list of products that are stolen and have no comeback.

Cheers. I already checked them but amazon reviews are sometimes on the suspect side. Have went with one anyway so will see how it is. Can test it on a few walls where I know where the beams are. Cheers.
Thanks OP. Got one and had £10 off £50 from the B&Q club

Fully packaged magnusson item. Exclusive to a high street diy retailer. Mmm.. all black market items on list. If you worked in retail fraud this is just childsplay.
