About this deal

Just spotted this on Amazon, delivery isn't quick but its cheaper than the bare impact drill (which is £70), so you're getting the driver, battery and charger for £8 less than the drill alone.

Its a decent impact drill for DIY, got one myself.

If this is comparable to the PDR 18 LI then it'll be a nice driver. Much less aggressive than my Einhell, nicer to handle, and just as effective. Bosch unfortunately continues to ship tools with these piddly little 1.5Ah batteries which are just not on par with those from other companies or their Professional range, and new larger ones are expensive and rarely available at a decent discount.
I would point out that the replacement I've had on standby since 2021, for my original PSB 1800 LI drill which finally gave up the ghost this summer, is not a patch on the first one. I don't know what Bosch has changed but it seems to have to wind itself up before becoming effective & doesn't drill brick anywhere near as well as the old one did. I loved my old drill but I'm already looking for a replacement for this one. If they've gone the same way with the impact driver then you may be disappointed.

I've got the combi which is good. Not sure whether to get this. Haven't got an impact but I don't have many uses for it either!

If your driving screws a lot, this makes life a lot easier, doesn't tow on your wrist hardly at all compared to combi

Looks like an impact driver rather than a combi?

It is indeed, AdvancedImpactDrive. Not sure why it’s listed as combi will rename title

I have this driver. It's decent enough, but the trigger press seems be the first 10% low speed, while the rest is full belt. Makes it tricky to start screws sometimes. Also the latest generation batteries don't fit the older chargers, (I've had the cordless drill for a few years) and visa versa although the batteries are interchangeable on the drivers.
