Surely a typo.
Anyway, heat added. Great price.
Same here , getting too old for the manual one, had 2 electric ones but cut the cord on both.
Been looking for a while, didn't want a cheapo model but not overly expensive.
This one ticks all the boxes at the right price
Great little machine if you're realistic about what it can do. It's not going to be taking thicker branches off.
Also just make sure you look after the blade but that applies to anything like this.
How would you take care of the blade? Wd-40?
Pretty much, don't leave the blade wet after using it and give it a quick oil before putting it away.
Reading the reviews I noticed that you use the top part of the blade for cutting thicker branches.
Well it'll cut branches up to a point.
It depends what you consider "thick" though.
It'll struggle with anything toward 10mm or more, you'll have to hack away at it multiple times to get through it at that thickness and anything much thicker is probably a step too far. Wouldn't be particularly good for the machine either way.
Even with the battery installed, you can pick it up with one finger and the battery lasts long enough to cut a 20m hedge thats over 6 foot. The best part about it is the accuracy that you can get from the cut. As it's so light, I've been able to cut the hedge so it's absolutely horizontal - something I was never able to achieve with either petrol trimmers as I didn't have the same level of control due to the weight. As for blade care then there is an Amazon review about what to use and it recommended the 3-in-1 PTFE multi-purpose oil that you can get for a few £s.
If you are even considering purchasing this then do it - you won't be disapointed.
Thanks that's really helpful & nothing like a real world review. I didn't see why they were making a big point of how light it is but understand it now.
any advice would be gratefully received.
No problem and glad to have been of some assistance. The other issue with the weight is that, even though this one is not the longest blade available, you can actually get further reach as you can stretch out further without losing stability - something I experienced with the heavier petrol versions and nearly ended up in the hedge on a few occasions!
The battery alone is £48 at Amazon at the moment. The charger is £24.50.
On top you can use the £2.50 TCB off £10+ promotion this weekend, and TCB is offering 6% off Amazon Patio, Lawn and Gardens right now - yes I checked it does include lawn mower e.g. and garden care products.
So it is £84.99 -6% -£2.50 or £77.39 after cash back if paid out.
I have a number of Bosch 18V Power-4-All batteries which will fit, so will flock the new battery on fleabay. Could end up costing under £50 for the trimmer AND charger.
Thanks OP!
No. Oil.
Sold out methinks
