One new blade is around 20 quid at Screwfix, can see these going obsolete fairly quickly
hmmm, that's a fair point, spares such as batteries are usually the achilles heel of these sort of things, cause none of the manufacturers use the same fittings etc, hadn't thought about the blades, i guess for light use should be ok for a while, wonder if you can sharpen them like a regualr chainsw blade

EDIT:
had a quick look around, and yeah, £28 at Robert Dyas (-15% of course) £22 at Amazon, but found them for under £18 at lawson-his.co.uk/bos…-65
and £17 at gardenfox.co.uk/pro…156

Thanks op
I already had one bu the blade broke. Bought it from your link at garden fox.

Amazing device. Just don't go crazy with thick trees. It will cut it but you will end up breaking the blade

no problem, glad it was a useful link... was the delivery free on that as well? (it did seem to look like that)
I can't see the point of this saw. Wouldn't you be better off with a reciprocating saw. A cleaner cut than a chain & capable of cutting larger material with a greater range of blades. Not voted either way.

It's really a tool to solve a problem that doesn't really exist. Primary reason to exist is that it looks cute, no doubt about it. Dangerously cute. Yes it cuts small branches and twigs but so does a pair of secateurs or some other more suitable cutting tool. I think someone at Bosch made it for a laugh and someone in their marketing department saw it and saw an opportunity to sell yet more clutter that people don't really need. I do believe it excels at cutting off ones fingers though
