BOSCH EcoLogixx 7 WTW86560GB Condenser Tumble Dryer £459.48 PLUS possible Quidco PLUS 4 year Warranty.
Just noticed how much dear wife is using the old tumble dryer and thought now was a good time to see what a very efficient machine could save me!
Go Via Quidco to the Currys website, find Bosch WTW86560GB and take to checkout @ £622.
Add the code DOMAPP10 and it reduces to £559.80. Quidco states the code should be DOMAPP15 (for 15%) discount but it doesent work for me.
When the tumble dryer is delivered, go here johnlewis.com/jl_…pdf for a further £100.32 back via one of those Pre Paid card.
Then go here johnlewis.com/jl_…pdf to extend the warranty to 4 years. Thanks John Lewis!!!
For an 'A' rated machine I think this is pretty good compared to what else is out there.

Code has changed. Just checked with quidco and they have updated.
Code = DOMA10
1.5% Quidco back also.
When i posted this delivery was avaliable for today, they must have had a mass influx of orders from all the heat generated by my post and sold out.........

Just double checked and code is working.

code working, some comments about being too noisy in reviews, would be interested to know if anyone owns it, is it very noisy? need to buy a tumble dryer soon.

yep, new code is now working. Thanks for that

A few reviews also say that this dryer takes ages to dry clothes because it uses heat pump technology ~ anyone here have one & care to comment?

On the strength of the performance we're getting from a recently purchased Siemens WT46W567GB (£610 from John Lewis if they take your old one away) with a heat pump, I'd say they were quicker than ordinary ones. Well, the wife would. X)

In truth there's probably not a lot in it, but it's no slower, I'm sure. The Siemens is around 30% more efficient even than the Bosch (1.35 kWh per load, as against 1.9 kWh), which is why we preferred it to the Bosch - that, plus an extra year on the warranty, given that a breakdown in year 5 is a fair bit more likely than one in year 4.

Both expensive machines, but the electricity savings may well cover that over 5 years.

Thanks Newbold.

I need a new dryer and am also considering a White Knight Gas ECO83A which is £309 delivered from Asda. Need to pay to get it fitted though

I wonder how the running costs compare

According to Which?, the ECO83A and ECO43A are both very cheap to run - probably cheaper than any of the electrics, I'd guess. Both are Best Buys, too.

How much are the fitting costs likely to be?

Don't know yet ~ I have the gas supply to our boiler right alongside where the dryer will be situated

going to ring around in next few days

Next cheapest price I can find for this Bosch is £592 from Appliances Online plus the £100 cashback, the 4 year warranty and Quidco brings it down to about £482....
