Not bad! A+++ BOSCH!
Good spot - heat added
Great, bought 2. Thanks!
2 year guarantee. Is that parts an labour or just parts?. A Bosch sould really have 5 years parts and labour if it stood by its name.
I have had Bosch every time for the last 15 years (gone through a few as the kids create loads of washing) but this time I went for a lg f1222td - it's not A+++ but it has a 8kg drum , a 2 year guarantee and 10 years on the motor (which was the part that always went (after the pump)) it was never worth fixing the motor as cost more than buying a new machine , costs about the same
thanks, nearly paid £450 for this a couple of weeks ago. currently out of stock but expecting more in, so have ordered anyway...
Nice find, like Bosch washing machines

The trouble is Bosch's name is not what it was.

What are they called now?
we have great fun with our Bosch!!!!
Will it spin, won't it spin..
The best bit is the knack you have to have to push the spin speed buttons........more like a slap!
Got to day i have lost faith in Bosch always had their kit but since having 4 boys to wash for we were getting through 1 washing machine very 2 years the last 2 being Bosch products and costing in excess of £500 so had enough as were all failing just after the 2 years warranty so went for a Beko at less then half the price and so far its been great.

I would rather run the risk of a cheaper brand at less then half price to last 2 years then over priced Bosch, thus i am thinking if a £500 Bosch only last the 2 years christ knows what this will last for!!!

Buyer beware quality of Bosch is rubbish now these Beko's get great review and have great customer services.

Hk
has anyone managed to get one for this price?
If it has a square handle it's not a real Bosch. If the handle is curved and shaped to the door then it's a proper Bosch and not a rebrand.

edit: I was told this by a washing machine repairman by the way. I asked what brand he would buy and he said LG or Bosch but only a proper Bosch as the square handle ones are Turkish and not very good. I got an LG

Bosch is two years. Siemens is 5. All part of BSH Group.

Sad thing is that most washers are killed by people overfilling the drum.

You can have the best built washer in the world, but if you don't operate it correctly it's going to break.
Slightly amazed there haven't been any comments from people with their 30 year old Miele's that are still going strong.

Well the machine I have just bought is a Siemens and you only get a two year guarantee. Also bought from currys with this discount code for 377 altogether.

Gutted! Paid £321 for a BOSCH Classixx WAE28166GB in July which is a lesser spec machine, less economical and a smaller drum. Unfortunately when your washer goes, you can't hang around! On a side note, I can't see how they can be so economical when the cycle lasts 3 hours!

I think only some models of Siemens have 5yr warranty offer.
I bought a Siemens which had the 5 yr warranty promotion.
They have sussed it out..stopped the offer on line
Where did you find the offer?
Like someone else mentioned already, the square handled boschs are made in spain or is it turkey? Those factories are not as thorough as the german made Bosch machines which have curved door handle.

I've always noticed the Spanish made Bosch machines are always cheaper and likely to go on offer.

Still not bad but would rather pay extra £50 to get german made bosch
i might be missing something here, but surely the model in question here does have a curved handle? it definitely seems to match the curve of the door.

looking at a bosch brochure, these (exxcel) are mid-range models, one level below top of the range (logixx). i would have expected the lower end models (avantixx, classixx) to be the cheaper made models (according to the brochure, the classixx has an even more curved handle!)

maybe i'm missing something obvious!
did anyone order this deal? if so, have they received it?

we ordered last wednesday, had the order acknowledged, then confirmed, received an email receipt and then.... nothing.

we emailed customer services and.... nothing.

when we click on the order status button in the online account we were forced to set up.... nothing (well, an error page).

it's a bit grim not having a working machine, and then having an order confirmed but then just disappearing into the ether.
Hi Ferris, we ordered the above and upon checking status like yourself we also found error page.
This evening we saw a cancellation email - fuming!!!
Spoke to customer services who said that I had cancelled the order - untrue.
After a lots of moments on hold while she spoke to line manager I have had to re-order at the higher price but with the promise that discounted price will be honoured when I call back tomorrow to confirm of Saturday delivery.
If they fob you off with no stock currently available tell them you were told over 200 were due for delivery to their warehouse on 21st/22nd of September.
However when checking order status they have entered the next model up....I predict more delays...
Good luck!
trefoil, thanks for your comments.

i'm not sure i entirely followed what you said. have i got this right?

they cancelled your order, you rang up to query this. they asked you to order again and get delivery on saturday? it hasn't been online on the website all week has it? or did they offer you the higher model exxcel (£479) for the same price as the one in this deal?

if so, i'm really quite angry about that. we've been left hanging around waiting for them to tell us something, and all they said when we rang them today is "we have got some more stock in, but it depends where you are on the queue."

so they've taken the money, they've clearly accepted the order, but we could be waiting a week? 2 weeks? a month? for delivery. while you had your order cancelled for whatever reason, but you've now been offered one (or possibly a higher model?) for delivery on saturday?

bizarre.

trefoil, we've just had the cancellation email as well. could you please clarify what you said to them when you called, and what they agreed to offer you? and has anything come through yet?
Hi Ferris,
Machine delivered today and it is the 1400 spin model. At no point in my call did any rep say they would upgrade to higher spec model, I just assumed they would notice their error. My case is a little different as I initially did say I might have to cancel since my order placed on 10th Sept did not qualify for the Bosch energy saving cashback. To their credit they said they would honour this payment of £42 to avoid me cancelling then reordering, I gladly accepted this offer. This however became the root problem as they claimed on the 21st after I complained about the cancellation email that I had actually cancelled! It took a while for them to realise that only the first "case notes" had been referred to when the despatch team were reading orders. I was then told I would need to reorder which I did, however the chap on sales line said none were showing in stock, I then told him that I was told on the 10th September that 200+ machines were due at their warehouse 21/22 September. I also asked him to check my "case notes", he processed the order and gave a delivery date of Saturday 24th. As of Friday I had been charged for 2 washing machines and had not been refunded for either the first order or the partial refund. I rang customer services again who claimed it might take 6 days. This afternoon I did receive emails to confirm this had been done.
Basically Ferris I think two factors are present here: A - I have spoken to lots of call centre staff and logged down each persons name and reference numbers so that I had some sort of fall back for when the stock replies came. B - The very first guy I spoke to was really helpful and he not only spoke to a line manager but he also gave me his name (I think having a managers name helped enormously). As to receiving the different model either I have been very lucky or they have upgraded for free. I would have thought though, that they would have been happy to inform me if they had done that as a customer service issue.
Hang in there and also look out for the two years extra warranty pdf download certificate from bosch when you finally get sorted.
thanks for the reply. that's not bad going at all getting a £479 machine for £295! i see you were in a slightly different position, and so i guess they probably wouldn't offer the higher spec machine to everyone.

in the end i noticed the same deal was available from comet, so i just bought it from there. now that i've read your post i do kind of regret not challenging currys's incompetence and getting a free upgrade though...
