I got the Hitachi 18 v impact drill ..And this appears to have more torque ..This must be a beast ..wish I needed it ... but really can't be buying a 3rd impactor -Voted ..this is hot -..For anyone who hasn't got an impact drill and is still using a combi to screw/unscrew ..I would recommend this ..the step up is remarkable it makes hard work become very light

Excuse me for being a noob but how do I put drill bits in this thing and can anyone recommend a good set

The 18V Ryobi impact driver is a beast, 220nm of torque.

I've used it to put 4" screws in fence posts all day

This is basically a very powerful screw driver, it's not for drilling for that you need a normal drill/driver

You can use it in a limited capacity for drilling jobs - you need drills bits with a hex shank (same as the screwdriver bits). I have x2 of these rattlers (I'm lazy about changing bits) and I really like them, nice weight (I have the 18v) and they're really up to the job. If you've been used to driving in screws with a combi drill, you'll love the difference, it's so effortless. I frequently use them for confined space work ie between joists, where they're invaluable, but overkill for the average DIYer. The 18v bare tool - no batteries inc - is about this price, so it's a good buy.

Bosch offer a 3 year warranty if you register the tool with them online.

I've also used Lawson-His a few times and they've always been prompt with delivery and never had any problems.

thanks syrabite ill bear that in mind

hi syrabite can you recommend some half decent drill bits for this? don't do much drilling to be honest so I think ill keep it

Just search, hex shank drill bits, and chose which sort you need ( flat wood bit/ high speed steel, etc)

ok will do ta

Thanks OP. Heat added. Great price. Have used one on site before but always been too expensive to have my own. Anyway, not any more just ordered. Only 2 left now. Note you can also buy on Ebay hex to socket drive adapters so you can fit 3/8 or 1/4 sockets and also adapters to fit keyless chucks.
