would any of these be better option? … would any of these be better option? http://www.screwfix.com/p/makita-dhp453sfew-18v-3-0ah-li-ion-lxt-cordless-combi-drill/2290J?kpid=KINASEKPID&cm_mmc=GoogleLocal-_-Datafeed-_-Tools&cm_mmc=Google-_-Product%2520Listing%2520Ads-_-Sales%2520Tracking-_-sales%2520tracking%2520url&gclid=CjwKEAjw6e_IBRDvorfv2Ku79jMSJAAuiv9YUIFdxFGjWLnldd0lSn91h8LmtJXj-FGds4zBiqq38BoCtXzw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds&dclid=COvx-bPV-NMCFQYi0wodGMUFGw or https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Drills/Makita-DHP482RFWJ-18-V-Combi-Cordless/B01ALZP2QA

That looks like a nice deal & nice bit of kit - but this one is brushless, which is really the biggest selling point - increased and more efficient use of power.

Is this really makes a difference in DIY use? I wont be using it for work as i work with steel. Plus option of using LXT batteries from Makita in other tools is appealing. Does Bosch and Makita offer similar tools and the quality? With interchangeable batteries?

In defence of this deal it does come with a 6 amp charger - that's twice as fast as the Makita.

Both deals come with 6Ah of batteries, but the bosch charges at twice the speed. The bosch unit's charging cycle will most likely overlap, while it's a unlikely that a Makita 3Ah battery will last an hour of good solid use while the second battery charges. Bosch 6 amp charger = continuous use.
Is this the same but of kit, but £15 cheaper? Powertoolworld

I don't think it's the same model. The extra battery on the OP is well worth £15 and means you won't have any - or much - downtime waiting for a battery to charge. Which is a personal bugbear of mine.

If buying bosch the ideal scenario - regardless of the model of drill - is the 1860 (or 1880) charger and 2 x 4Ah batteries. I've never managed to flatten a 4Ah battery in 40 minutes and I've tried.

That is the older model without metal chuck and doesn't have kickback protection

Mate. This is brushless too, and metal chuck. Two batteries 4Ah and 2Ah. 6Ah all together. your deal have only 2x1.5Ah batteries. And i never heard of this brand.
