Great drill for all round DIY. Usually 3 year guarentee for the Bosch Pro stuff if you register in time.
Have they cured the loosening chuck problem, does anyone know?

I haven't had any with mine but it's had very little use.
I wasn't fussed though as I only paid about 70 quid for this when I got it.
I got it with two 1.5AH batteries in December for £60 and have been pleased with it. The loosening chuck was with a slightly different model afaik, not had an issue with mine.

I also bought this drill but from eBay for £89.99 with two 1.5Ah batteries and it is fantastic. Its the best drill i have owned.

This is a great dill and very strange deal.
Expensive overkill for weekend diy jobs, not good enough for pro because of small batteries.

Drill itself is for professional. Lasts forever even when mixing plaster on a daily basis. My one is about 5yo abused on daily basis.

The only problem are the batteries.
2Ah it's not enough for pro, especially when most of us owns plenty of other power hungry 18V series tools from the same brand.

The drill is just branded 'professional'. It doesn't mean in the slightest that it's not for your average Joe. It's just a combi drill at the end of the day and well package for the home diyer as well as trade. The battery means less weight, so it's ideal in that sense. For instance, the battery size/weight overall is perfect for installing kitchen cabinets. I'd not be wanting a 4 or 5ah battery in the drill for that. There are many other reasons why a smaller battery is more beneficial.

Regarding battery life, well it comes with 3 batteries, so it's a none issue really when using the drill, as you'll always have one charged and ready to go. Sure, for other Bosch tools that might need/draw more power, they will need that step up in battery. If you've bought into the Bosch ecosystem already then you'll no doubt have more batteries anyway (maybe 4ah+ in size), so again it's a none issue regarding batteries.
