Will this easily replace my basic lamona oven? In terms of install will it just four screws and mains plug or is there more to it?

This oven will not have a plug attached to it, It will need to connected directly to the mains via the access to the local isolation (basically a fused junction box) for use in case of an emergency or for maintenance.

From the review on the website:  "it required a 16 amp power supply and there was only a 13 amp socket where it needed to go".  So cannot simply plug into a 3 pin socket! any recommendations for one which plugs into a standard 13 amp socket?

got this last year, amazing oven and this is a fantastic price

If it is requiring a 16amp supply please don't try and wire into a 13amp socket. A dedicated 16amp fused spur should be installed. If you don't know what you are doing don't do it yourself please. Fires can be caused by incorrect installation.

Hot deal tho :-)

Great deal, wish I could find the black one (hba13b160b) for this price!

Few weeks ago looking for electrical wire saw one of their 'by the meter' spools loaded incorrectly into the shop fixture. People would have been buying wire they thought was safe to use (can't rememeber exactly the rating but may have been 16A) but it was actually from a spool of only 6A rating loaded onto that 16A shelf edge label. Frightnin'.

Is this the same one they did a price error on before Xmas?

Which magazine give it a pretty good review, not quite a best buy but not far off. Just the temperature setting screws it up;

Although this oven cooks and grills superbly, you may have to keep an eye … Although this oven cooks and grills superbly, you may have to keep an eye on your food and adjust the timing slightly, as the temperature control isn't as accurate as it could be. Our tests show that the temperature inside the oven is around 20ºC above the one set on the dial, so your meals may overcook if you're not careful.

Tempted to go for it though as our current one is definitely on the way out.

We bought one of these recently from currys (£240) put it on the burn in 240C cycle for an hour after 20 mins the inner glass went POP, currys replaced it next day.
On the positive side it warms up very quickly 220C in less then 10 mins and it stays warm, grill is also very good.
It doesn't come with a plug fitted and although it's less then 13amp (10amp) it needs to go via a cooker switch dedicated circuit.

Anybody have any idea how long the offer is on for ? And if there is a matching hob available by Bosch

Heat for the "3d hot air"

Joshp, have a look in the Argos catalogue, they have an oven and hob package, so you should be able to get the hob model number from there

No - that was a dearer model HBN531E2B and there was a £50 cash back from Bosch (£109)

The Hotpoint SH33WS come with a 13 amp plug fitted. I bought one last month from John Lewis for £189 but I don't think they sell that model any more.

The power output is 2.9 kW, which corresponds to 13 A. However, it would be unwise to fit a 3 pin plug.

There are plenty of ovens around which are supplied with 3 pin plugs. I have one in my kitchen.
I presume the way to find them is to look for something with a slightly lower power output, or to check around the back of the display models in Currys. .

We had a cry similar model in our last kitchen, my only annoyance was that the touch sensitive buttons for setting the timer were far too sensitive so it made it fiddly.

They look great installed too.

Had the model with. few more features delivered last week. pleased with it so far, it does what it is supposed to do in my eyes! Good price for this model, I was quoted £350 fitted locally for it!

BTW these ovens are made in Greece for those interested.

Great, we can be doing our bit for those less fortunate than us, too.

i have a near identical Bosch Oven. At 6 years all 3 elements went, £120 to replace DIY. Amazing to think that a Bosch replacement baking tray alone is £60. Seems to make more sense to replace the whole oven every 5 years, saves deep cleaning it too!

Oos

doesn't seem like they had a lot OOS

Back up to £278 now

most electric ovens come with 13amp plug now days which should be fused down with a 13amp spur.(the box on the wall normally with a neon on it and a fuse carrier in its front)there is no such thing as a 16amp spur so I would ignore the comment regarding this if I were you

I think their marketing is 3D hot air! Anyway heat for a good price.

Shows oos and £278 please expire

£288 now... Ugh.
