Thanks to Bosch's AutoPilot programs, you'll achieve consistent, quality results, no matter what's on the menu. Simply place your dish in the oven, enter the weight and choose from up to 85 settings. It even uses a 3D Hotair function to distribute hot air evenly between the 3 levels.

For added convenience, the HBS573BS0B comes with a pyrolytic self-cleaning feature that turns all food residue to ash when heated to a very high temperature, leaving the walls of the oven perfectly clean. The only task left is to sweep away the remaining ash, without the need for continuous scrubbing or harsh chemicals.

As for its design, the HBS573BS0B boasts a smart stainless steel finish, rotary controls, a modern LED display and slim universal pans.

Unlikely, I'd say. Not impossible, but this such a good saving I personally wouldn't risk it. Certainly if it was cheaper I don't think it'd be by much. I got it for £499 and was the best price I'd seen for about 6 months of hanging around for a deal

Not had it that long, haven't tried the pyro function yet. But it seems to heat evenly at all levels (not always a great thing as you can't use that to adjust for things that prefer different temperatures/times so much). The quick heat feature caught me out initially as it gets to temperature a lot quicker than our other basic Bosch oven which is now our secondary one.

dont own this particular one.

But the complaints seem to be, that the fan is to powerful (i think thats the vent fan) , it caused the house electric to go, but they had it fitted to a plug, which i'm sure bosch dont recommend and the writing on the dial is small (it is). I have an oven under a hob, and its not great place for the oven.

I can't say it's one of my great passions in life but I'm thinking Aeg might be considered the better brand and that the steambake looks great for baking bread etc. Plus it has a thermometer. Other than the ranking, the Aeg looks a little more feature laden. But I don't have any experiences of either brand in the kitchen.

Not sure if the AEG has a 5yr warranty, that would certainly swing the Bosch towards my favour, having had a few other ovens die quite quickly...
Great deal, heat from me
The printed on bits always come off so easy with a wipe. Why cant these companies sort that out.
Got this oven to replace old one it is very good and efficient
This is a really good deal. I bought this from John Lewis about 6 months ago for £599 with £100 cashback.

I find it to be a good oven - it replaced a similar spec Neff oven that had lasted for about 15 years (Neff, Bosch and Siemens all share the same manufacturer). I have it connected via a 13A plug and it works fine including the pyrolytic cleaning (which is pretty useful, but can stink / smoke a bit).
HTH
Good price with a 5 year warranty , is it parts and labour though , anyone know ?
Ordered thank you. I've been waiting for an oven and JL service far better than the rest. Pleased I waited (missed ) the Ebay one last week

I managed to get the eBay one last week before they put the price back up and have just managed to cancel. It would have been slightly cheaper though only if Argos eBay were a participating retailer for the cashback but they are not.
Having never owned an electric oven, I'm quite dubious about making the switch. Is steam bake necessary?
No, go for self-cleaning over steam bake any day of the week!
Out of stock
Does anyone know if the electrical connectors/wiring will be different on this compared to an old Philips Whirlpool that is 16 years old?

I was debating the £90 JL install cost...

Thanks

does the Pyrolytic feature allow you to cook pizzas properly ? (i.e. at 400+ degrees C? )

You have to use live chat on the Argos website
The manual online has no installation instructions at all. Is this a wired in oven, or does it use a standard UK plug?

You are supposed to wire them in to their own circuit ideally. This may be 2kW(10A) only, so you "can" wire it to a plug, but you shouldn't really, it should really be on its own circuit (though many houses pre 60s were never wired that way), you'll need to make sure there isn't any other high power appliances on the same ring main. eg you could easily overload a single ring main (which is usually only 32A max) if you have the oven on (10A), kettle on (up to 13A), toaster (maybe 6A), microwave (4or 5A) dishwasher (10A) washing machine (10A), electric hob (up to 30A) etc, not to mention other things you might use like electric heaters, EV chargers etc
Mine was fitted by currys and they used a plug but checked the fuse box and said everything was good I also have a switch on the wall to turn it on but it’s just a switch and just for the oven

that sounds weird. Either the oven switch on the wall is for a dedicated oven circuit, or you have it plugged in and the socket has it's own switch. You don't usually have it plugged in with it's own dedicated switch.

My Neff Pyrolitic oven has a safety feature that locks the door while the cleaning program is running. You could probably disable this feature but you may not be able to do so without voiding the warranty. It's certainly not designed for high temperature cooking.

theres a guy on youtube that did this. But why don't they make it possible to use it like this ? does it wear the oven out or something ? having a 400C oven would be really sweet for flatbreads, pizzas, etc
